Monsterrat is only an hours drive from the bustling city of Barcelona. The drive up curves through the hill side and reveals majestic views of the coast before courting you through small Catalonian towns. We parked close to the base and took the funiculuar up.

Monsterrat is well known as one of the locations of a black Madonna. I really enjoyed the views and the architecture.
