First Impressions of Kimetsu no Yaiba
With the release of the new Kimetsu no Yaiba movie, let's just say that my friends are forcing me to watch the anime so I can catch up and enjoy the movie without any worries. Honestly, I had never been interested in watching this anime. At the time, I was a little curious about it, but I preferred to do other things and kept putting it off until the billing date arrived and I had to catch up. I don't think there are any spoilers in this post, but just in case, here's a warning.
Primeras Impresiones de Kimetsu no Yaiba
Con el estreno de la nueva película de Kimetsu no Yaiba, digamos que mis amigos me están obligando ver el anime para ponerme al día y poder ir a ver la película tranquilamente. Sinceramente, nunca me había interesado por ver este anime, en su momento me dio un poco de curiosidad verlo pero preferí irme por otras cosas y fui postergando el asunto hasta que me llegó la fecha de facturación y tengo limite para ponerme al día. No creo que se encuentren spoilers en este post pero igual quedan con la advertencia.
On this occasion, we bring you my first impressions of Season 1 of this incredible anime, specifically its first four episodes, and a somewhat detailed opinion of what I think of its start. But as I always say, first things first, and the first thing is to know what Kimetsu no Yaiba is about.
The story centers on Tanjiro Kamado as our protagonist. His family is murdered by what they call “demons” in this world (in my opinion, and based on the impression I've gotten from the few I've seen, they're more like vampires), except for his sister Nezuko, who is transformed into one, and Tanjiro is forced to become a demon hunter to restore his sister's humanity, or at least try to do so if possible.
En esta ocasión, venimos con mis primeras impresiones de la Temporada 1 de este increíble anime, específicamente de sus primeros cuatro capítulos, y una opinión un poco detallada de lo que me está pareciendo su inicio. Pero como siempre digo, primero lo primero, y lo primero es saber sobre qué va Kimetsu no Yaiba.
La historia se centra en Tanjiro Kamado como nuestro protagonista, la familia de este es asesinada por lo que en este mundo llaman “demonios” (según yo y la impresión que me han dado los pocos que he visto son más como vampiros), a excepción de su hermana Nezuko, ella se transforma en uno y Tanjiro se ve en la obligación de convertirse en un cazador de demonios para devolverle la humanidad a su hermana, o por lo menos intentarlo si es posible.
Well, the premise is somewhat “simple,” from what my friends have told me. Depending on your point of view, you can associate it with something and it has a much bigger background, but since great stories often come from “simple” premises, I hope it manages to surprise me because I've seen some previews and it looks really interesting.
I usually give an anime or series a chance for the first three or four episodes, and this one was no exception. To be honest (apart from being obliged to, lol), I'll keep watching it. The world it presents and the way the author handles it are very interesting, with all its concepts and other themes that are revealed from the outset. The introduction of the characters was very good. It shows that you don't need big entrances or flashes everywhere; as long as you do something well, that's more than enough.
A ver, la premisa es algo “sencilla”, por lo que me han contado mis amigos, dependiendo del punto de vista de cómo lo veas puedes asociarlo con algo y tiene un trasfondo mucho más grande, pero como muchas veces las grandes historias nacen de premisas “sencillas” espero que logre sorprenderme porque he visto algunos que otros adelantos y la verdad se ve muy interesante.
Por lo general, suelo darle la oportunidad a un anime o una serie en los primeros tres/cuatro capítulos, este no fue la excepción y a decir verdad (aparte de estar obligado xd) lo seguiré viendo, está muy muy interesante el mundo que presenta y la forma en la que el autor lo maneja, con todos sus conceptos y demás temas que a priori deja ver. La introducción de los personajes estuvo muy buena, es la muestra de que no se necesitan grandes entradas o destellos por todas partes, con tal de hacer algo bien es más que suficiente.
I always knew that the animation was on another level, and I get the slight impression that with each season they surpass themselves. It's crazy what I've seen in recent seasons. Although I don't like the use of 3D animation at all, I have to admit that this anime does an excellent job in that regard. Being against 3D animation in anime, here it feels like it goes unnoticed, or at least as far as I've seen.
Kimetsu no Yaiba is a work that I hope I will end up liking a lot. The fights seem to be well adapted, and the story, although it seems simple at the moment, looks quite promising, especially with the inclusion of the other characters that are missing. For now, I won't make any recommendations as I usually do because these are my first impressions and my opinion may change, or it may not, so I hope I continue to be hooked with each episode and the upcoming seasons that await me.
Su animación siempre supe que es de otro nivel y me da la leve impresión de que con cada temporada se van superando así mismos, es una locura lo que he podido observar en temporadas más recientes. Aunque no me guste para nada el uso de la animación 3D debo admitir que este anime hace un excelente trabajo en ese aspecto, para estar en contra de esa animación 3D en los animes aquí se siente que pasa por debajo de la mesa, o por lo menos hasta donde he logrado ver.
Kimetsu no Yaiba es una obra que espero me termine gustando mucho, sus combates se ven que están bien adaptados y la historia, de momento, aunque pinta simple, se ve bastante prometedora y más con la inclusión de los demás personajes que faltan. De momento no haré ninguna recomendación como estoy acostumbrado porque son mis primeras impresiones y puede que mi opinión cambia, como puede que no, así que espero me siga enganchando con cada capítulo y las siguientes temporadas que me aguardan.
