**English** How many times have I written that I've found a million friends here on Hive, just like the song says, I love making friends. It's not normal to say you only have friends on Hive; the variety of society is what makes it special. Although I think the real issue isn't the number of friends, but the friends who visit and support you daily. Thanks to technology, I can stay in touch with schoolmates, having reunions, and that's very healthy, I must admit. That's why I get so excited every time I manage to be present at a Hive friends gathering. I must admit that Hive has become part of my daily life and that I depend on its readership and votes. Studies and experiences of human societies already demonstrate the need to be together and help each other. The truth is, we are at the mercy of the kindness, readership, and votes of others; we simply have to win them over with words and images. I agree that on #Hive we need to be seen, read, and supported. These days, the decline in cryptocurrency prices makes us notice the absence and apathy of some participants. That's where my experience in this field has taught me: buy when it goes down and take advantage when it goes up. Perhaps this idea can also help us make many new friends on #hive. When we see them sad and unmotivated, we can encourage them to keep going. Undoubtedly, when we read others, whether it's a post or a comment, it stimulates our own content creation, whether by expressing our own ideas or researching the topic further. I'm very happy because I continue to expand my Hive friends network in many parts of the world. And whenever I can, I welcome new members, encouraging them to find their best community and to have fun as the most important thing. I've been involved in several projects where the idea is to have a group of mutual friends where reading, commenting, and voting are all possible. This ensures that no one's posts go unsupported. This is called **mutual support.** We have a variety of styles and friends who share their best writing with us. Some write quite extensive pieces that require us to stop and read, even to understand what they're trying to teach us. We have friends with literature that surprises us, friends with short stories that teach us valuable lessons, and even those who tell us about what they see in movies and on television. We have friends we travel with in the cities they visit, and it's wonderful to be able to walk hand in hand with them. Although numbers don't tell us how many friends we have, I am aware that we are an example to others and at the same time their friendship becomes a valuable sign that we are contributing and that we are important in the lives of other Hivers, as they have told me. I don't want to seem self-serving or ungrateful, but I can see that I receive quite generous support in certain communities, and that sometimes makes me wonder if I'm doing better in one community or another. The reality is that some communities receive a lot of support, and if we do things well, we'll be rewarded. And others will see that and be encouraged to participate. I have a long list of friends I'd love to confirm and invite to this million-friends group on Hive, but the reality is that my profile picture says **3,360 followers** and **8,829 following**. There's an imbalance there between the number of followers and the number I follow. **Do I write for myself or for others?** What an interesting question. When I sit down to write each morning, I do it simply for myself, out of that need to communicate what I feel about a particular topic. I contribute fragments of my mind and pieces of my soul. But as I finish writing the last lines, they almost always encourage the reader to give their best. Visiting my always active and constant friends, I only have to check the comments to see who's there. Please forgive me for tagging you all: @issymarie2, @amigoponc, @germanandradeg, @pedrobrito2004, @osomar357, @lanzjoseg, @enraizar, @mafalda2018, @dorytagil2022, @blanca56, @purrix, @roswelborges. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few, so please excuse me. I can only thank you for your constant presence and support. You belong to the million friends of my life.
