Saludos a toda la comunidad de Full Deportes. La frase del título, corresponde a una frase del buen cubano, dicha en su mayoría por los aficionados al béisbol cuando un juego se desborda de bateo. Eso ocurrió en la noche de este viernes en el Rogers Centre de Toronto, en donde los locales destrozaron vilmente el pitcheo de los Dodgers para vencerles por 11-4 en el primer partido de la Serie Mundial.

Los que se llegaron a mi última entrega en el feed de la comunidad, pudieron leer que se enfrentaban el mejor bateo frente al mejor pitcheo, pero cuyos pitcheos de relevo no tenían dividendos positivos. Esto fue claramente aprovechado por los bateadores de los azulejos de Toronto que lograron descifrar los pitcheos de los lanzadores californianos.
No fue la mejor apretura para Trey Yesavage, el novato de los azulejos que se fue superando desde mayo hasta ser el primer abridor de la Serie Mundial, siendo además el primer pelotero de la historia en subir todos los niveles en un mismo año hasta debutar en las Mayores.

Mantuvo el partido cerrado y ya cuando los bateadores de Toronto vieron por tercera vez a Snell le conectaron mucho mejor. El primer jonrón de la noche saldría del madero de Daulton Varsho en la cuarta entrada, sobrevolando todo el jardín central. Aquí la teoría del zurdo contra zurdo no funcionó y el quinto madero de Toronto logró desaparecer una recta de 96 millas lanzada por Snell.
Tras 5 entradas, el partido estaba empatado, pero los Azulejos, fiel a su estilo a lo largo de toda la postemporada, desarmaron el pitcheo de los Dodgers con racimo definitorio de 9 carreras en la sexta entrada explotando al abridor Snell. El relevo claramente no aguantó, y Dave Roberts tuvo que acudir a Anthony Banda que permitió el Grand Slam de Addison Barger y el jonrón de Alejandro Kirk con uno en circulación para así sentenciar el primer partido.

Estos últimos jonrones tuvieron significados especiales, ya que Barger se convirtió en el primer bateador emergente de la historia en sacar la pelota del parque con la casa llena en una Serie Mundial. Mientras Kirk es el primer mexicano con jonrón en Series Mundiales. Otro que hizo historia fue Shohei Ohtani, que también la desapareció ya cuando el mal estaba hecho, pegando su primer jonrón en Series Mundiales, y el primer japonés en pegar jonrón desde Hideki Matsui.
Este partido fue toda una locura para los aficionados de los azulejos, que volvieron a disfrutar de una victoria en Serie Mundial, 32 años después. Para este sábado, debe estar pactado el duelo entre Yoshinobu Yamamoto y Kevin Gaussman, dos de las mejores cartas de triunfo de ambas franquicias. Quizás a la hora que se publique este post, ya está en desarrollo ese partido, pero les invito a todos a seguir de cerca esta Serie Mundial que promete y mucho.

Greetings to the entire Full Deportes community. The phrase in the title is a common expression among Cuban baseball fans, often used when a game is overflowing with hitting. That was the case on Friday night at Rogers Centre in Toronto, where the home team ruthlessly dismantled the Dodgers' pitching to win 11-4 in Game 1 of the World Series.
Those who caught my last post in the community feed would have read about the matchup between the best hitting team and the best pitching staff, but whose relief pitchers were not delivering positive results. This was clearly exploited by the Toronto batters, who managed to decipher the pitches from the Californian pitchers. It wasn't the best start for Trey Yesavage, the rookie for the Blue Jays, who improved steadily since May to become the first starter of the World Series, and also the first player in history to rise through all levels in a single year to debut in the Major Leagues.
He kept the game close, but once the Toronto hitters saw Snell for the third time, they connected much better. The first home run of the night came from Daulton Varsho in the fourth inning, soaring over center field. Here, the lefty versus lefty matchup didn't work out, and Toronto's fifth hitter managed to hit a 96 mph fastball thrown by Snell out of the park.
After five innings, the game was tied, but the Blue Jays, true to their style throughout the postseason, dismantled the Dodgers' pitching with a decisive rally of 9 runs in the sixth inning, knocking out starter Snell. The relief pitching clearly couldn't hold up, and Dave Roberts had to turn to Anthony Banda, who allowed Addison Barger’s grand slam and Alejandro Kirk’s home run with one on base to seal the outcome of Game 1.
These last home runs had special significance, as Barger became the first pinch hitter in history to hit a grand slam in a World Series. Meanwhile, Kirk became the first Mexican player to hit a home run in a World Series. Another player who made history was Shohei Ohtani, who also hit his first home run in a World Series when it was already too late, becoming the first Japanese player to hit a home run since Hideki Matsui.
This game was a wild experience for Blue Jays fans, who celebrated a World Series victory 32 years later. For Saturday, a matchup between Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Kevin Gausman is scheduled, two of the top aces for both franchises. By the time this post is published, that game may already be underway, but I invite everyone to closely follow this World Series that promises a lot.
