Woke up super excited to finally meet Hive people in real life! 😍 Got dressed, packed my enthusiasm, and aimed to reach The Journal Hotel on time!
🚴♂️ Morning Meetup Saga — Part 2: The Great Cycle Tragedy
In a moment of "adventure spirit", I decided to rent an electric cycle to get there faster. Bad idea. BIG bad idea. 😂
The cycle went zooming at 20 km/h when I pedaled and stopped dead when I didn’t. Not to mention — uphill road + blazing sun = 🥵💦
Then... BEEP BEEP! both my cycle and phone started screaming: "You’re entering an unserviceable zone!" 😅 I tried to park it, but nope! It demanded I find the nearest “approved” spot. Ended up cycling in the opposite direction like a lost delivery guy.
By the time I parked and walked back, I was drenched! But finally, I spotted this sign 👇
Thought I arrived… nope, wrong entrance! 😂 Walked a bit more until I saw the most beautiful sight that morning — the HiveFest flag 🏴!
Met awesome people like @louis88, @rivalzzz, @forkyishere, and @macchiata — it was buzzing with excitement 🐝💬
🍽️ The “Breakfast” That Wasn’t
I asked @forkyishere if we were going for snacks, and he nodded yes. Hungry me tagged along thinking, “finally food!” 😋
Guess what? It wasn’t breakfast... it was sightseeing! 💀🤣
We kept walking and walking — my smartwatch probably thought I was in a marathon.
Of course, at one point, we got lost!
We were hunting for the @gtg, @thebeedevs, and @blocktrades teams like treasure hunters 🕵️♂️😂 Finally spotted them after ages — what a relief!
🛕 Unexpected Stops & Coffee Drama
We stumbled on a stunning Mariamman Temple, but just our luck — it was lunchtime and we couldn’t go in 🫠
At last, coffee break ☕️! Ordered a latte, but it came unsweetened 😑 Asked for sugar, still barely enough for my “low battery” mood 😅
