Hello guys. Today I will share with you a very famous and historical museum of Lahore. I wanted to visit this museum for a long time but whenever I went to Lahore the museum was closed for some reason and I was very disappointed. Last month I went to Lahore with my school friends and we visited many locations but one of the main reasons for going to Lahore was to visit the Lahore Museum.
We left at around 9 am to go to Lahore but unfortunately we did not get any bus till 10 am and finally after 10 am we boarded a bus to Lahore and we reached Lahore at around 12:30 pm and by the time we reached the museum it was already 1 am. We decided that we would visit the entire museum in an hour because after that we had to visit some other locations and the time was very short.
This museum covers a lot of space and the beautiful building of this museum is a big reason that attracts people to this museum. This building is not only old but also built in an old style and small bricks have been used in this building which is red in color. This building is very strong and some of the statues built in it are still in their original condition. This museum was founded in 1865 and now this museum has been around 160 years and it was really a surprise for me.
In the picture below you can see my friend Mohsin standing with a cannon and I clicked this picture of him. You can also see a ticket in his hand. I took three tickets and the price of one ticket was 50 Pakistani rupees.
This is the inner entrance of the museum and look how beautifully it is designed and there were guards standing here who check your ticket and then you are searched through a machine. We visited this museum from outside before entering. We saw flags of different countries placed here whose cultures are present in this museum. There was a big lawn outside and some statues were also built in it which make the building of this museum more beautiful.
As soon as I entered the museum, I started taking pictures because it was beautifully designed inside and it was very durable. All the objects were kept inside the glass so that no one could damage them and they could be preserved for a long time. It was a little difficult to take pictures through the glass but I tried my best to take clear pictures and my mobile camera supported me fully.
You can see in these pictures that there are some clay pots which are prehistoric. These are some pots of Sindhi culture which were discovered from Sindh and they were brought to this museum so that their culture can be kept alive and today's generation can know about their culture. You can see how well these pots have been preserved.
In the picture above, you can see the structure of a bath, it also belongs to Sindh and its structure suggests that this bath was built to perform some ritual because there is a well with it, which suggests that water was brought to this bath through this well and then this water fell into a river.
Sindh bricks were also preserved here, what kind of bricks were used in that time and what were their benefits and apart from that, keys and many other things that were made of clay. Seeing these things is quite surprising and also increases knowledge, which is why I was very excited to come to this museum.
The people of Sindh used to play games that improved their mental and physical condition and the effects of some of the things used in these games have also been preserved here and the names of these games are also written along with how these games were played.
I met an woman which belongs to England in this museum with whom I had a little talk. She said that I really enjoyed visiting this museum and my knowledge also increased a lot and it is quite enjoyable to know different cultures. I was happy to know that people from other countries come to visit this museum in Pakistan and their feedback is also very good. This is a compliment for our country.
Below you can see that seals from the old era have also been kept. These seals were made by carving stones and this shows how hardworking and powerful those people were.
In the picture below you can see that some jewelry is also kept here which is from the old times and this jewelry was made by carving precious stones. This jewelry was used by both men and women and even dead bodies were buried wearing jewelry before burial, it was part of their culture. Here, along with everything, its history was written in Urdu and English so that people can also gain knowledge about these things.
I was surprised to see how big this museum is and it has everything from almost all the cultures of Pakistan and their history is also written. They also kept the jewelry that women wore at the time of marriage inside the glass. They preserved them very well so that they would stay in the museum for a long time and people could gain knowledge from them. There were also lights inside the boxes so that they could be seen well even at night.
The tools and clothes used during the wars are also kept here. All kinds of swords, daggers and iron clothes that protect your head and chest are also here. Below you can see some stones that were used in rich families home at that time and you can also see the old design on them.

There were numerous statues here and their history was also written with them but I could not read much about the statues because it was too late. My friends were calling me to come out because the museum was quite big and I was so busy taking pictures that I got separated from them and the signal was not even coming inside the museum. Contact was very difficult.
I do not know much about these statues but there was information about every culture and religion of Hindus here and their statues were also there. I took some pictures of them. Below you will see some more pictures of the statues. I was seeing how sophisticatedly the statues have been made and they were also reserved here in a very good way.
Below you can see another statue which I don't know what it is made of, probably bronze. In front of it there is a plaque with its name written on it, you can see it in the picture. This statue was built in the middle of the hall along a wall. I also took a selfie with it which you can see below.

Look at the elephant tusks in the picture above. I was really surprised to see them because these tusks were carved and made into animal pictures and below you can read on the plaque who designed these tusks like this and when and where they were discovered. I was looking at these tusks carefully to see how hard these tusks were shaped.
I took a good picture of them and below you can see some precious stones which were well preserved inside the glass and the names of these stones are also written along with them.

This is me and this picture of me was taken by a random girl because I requested it and she was very kind and took some more pictures of me. I was sitting in a hall where a dome structure was also built. I didn't know where my friends were so I had a request to picture from a random girl.
