Hello everyone of Hive Food community, every day I really thought of what food to prepare for my family. I make sure that the food I prepare will be liked by them. So, for today’s lunch I asked my son what he wants to eat, and he said some meat loaf, I don’t want to just fry it so I cooked it with a twist. Here’s the process how I cooked this simple food for our lunch today.
Ingredients:
-
1 can meat loaf
-
1 egg
-
3 tablespoon all-purpose flour
-
1 pack cracker or better if you have a breadcrumbs
-
For the sauce:
-
2 tbsp. soy sauce
-
2 tbsp. ketchup
-
1 tbsp. oyster sauce.
-
Slurry (1 tbsp. of cornstarch dissolved in 3 tbsp. of water)
-
Ginger
Processing Time:
Cut the meat loaf into circles, then coat it first with flour, then egg, last coat was the crushed crackers but it would be better if you use a breadcrumb, I don’t have any breadcrumbs available so I just used crackers.
Cooking Time:
In a pan, heat the oil, then set the fire into it’s lowest then we can put our coated meatloaf. Cooked until it becomes golden brown.
For the sauce I just mixed the soy sauce, cut ginger into thin slices, ketchup, oyster sauce and slurry in a pan then cooked it until the sauce thickens.
Pour the sauce into the meat loaf, then we have it crunchy meat loaf with my homemade teriyaki sauce.
Even if it was just a simple food recipe, I was satisfied that my family are always full and happy to eat what I serve for them.
That’s all my dear hiver friends of this community. Till’ next food blog again. Have a wonderful day and keep safe everyone 😊
Sincerely, @saijan19
