A SWEET SURPRISE FOR SHANG’S 18TH 🌻💚

Hello, dear Hivers! It feels so good to be back here ^^ I want to share how me and my WINX babies planned the surprise for Shang’s 18th birthday last August 7, 2025. Even before August started, Mirijin and I had already started working on the plan. Of course, the birthday girl knew a little about it, but not everything. To keep the real surprise, we even made a group chat without her in it. At first, we thought of celebrating on her actual birthday, but since it was a class day and we even had a test, we couldn’t push through. Instead, we decided to celebrate on Saturday. We organized everything from what to bring to how we’d surprise her. For now, I’ll just share the surprise part. I’ll post about the actual celebration in my next blog.    Our plan was to give her a bouquet with 18 roses and sunflowers. I didn’t count the exact number of sunflowers, but some of the roses were even green ones. Since her favorite flower is the sunflower and she loves yellow and green, we decided to match it with her favorites. Kai, our talented crochet girl, made the bouquet for us. She has a small business making handmade flowers, so we asked her to create it. This way we could support her while also saving a little. We had planned to help her, but in the end we couldn’t because we were so busy and stressed. On Shang’s birthday, we first sang for her in the morning. The bouquet surprise came in the afternoon. We planned it so that after buying some food outside, we’d return to the room, sing to her, and give her a mini cake with a candle to blow out. After that, we handed her the bouquet. She was clearly happy and surprised. We then took a video, ate together, and snapped photos to remember the day. Nothing too fancy, just us enjoying the moment and saving a few snaps we can look back on. It was a small but nice way to keep the memory of that day. I wish Shang all the best. May she always have good health and may more birthdays come her way. We love you, Shang, and we’re so glad to have celebrated this milestone with you. Turning 18 is such a special chapter, and I hope it opens up more opportunities, happiness, and memories for you. Happy 18th!   SINCE 2023, WINX!  That’s it for now, Hivers!
