In the past, I mistakenly thought that Shield Word was an ability that added Armor. I thought it wasn't a very strong ability, but when I actually had the opportunity to use it, I was amazed.
It was an ability that granted the Shield ability. 😂
Generally, Armor and Shield are easily confused. The symbol that shows the Armor value in the status bar is clearly shaped like a "Shield." So, it's no wonder people tend to just call it "Shield value." I think so.
VIRID VENOMANCER learns that tricky ability, Shield Word, from level 3. She also learns Poison at level 5, so you'll want to use her at level 5 if possible.
With two excellent abilities, a magic attack power of 2, and a low mana cost of 5, she's extremely powerful, so if you're using Earth, she's almost certainly a must-have.
For example, this battle.
My opponent's formation is LUCKY LONGSHOT, who has given his CONCLAVE ARTIFICER two types of attack, long-range and magical, through Weapons Training.
Furthermore, since both are Gnome races, they have also given RAZI Painforge, and my strategy is to use Painforge, which I also use often, to increase their attack power.
If you think about it normally, these two enemies alone can attack four times, so if they continue to be strengthened normally, they will become very troublesome.
but.
QUILLIUN LEGIONARY has its own Void ability, and VIRID VENOMANCER grants it the Shield ability, halving both physical and magical damage.
Plus, with Thorns you can expect counter damage, which is great. This is a great tank!
Since the time of LORD ARIANTHUS, tanks with both Shield and Void have been considered powerful. In the current Modern environment, there are no units that can learn both, but by granting them with Shield Word like this, you can turn them into a nice tank with a pseudo-double ability.
That's why VIRID VENOMANCER is so useful as an enchanter for creating such a nice tank! (Though I often end up losing by just applying it without thinking about it. 😂)
She also learns Poison at level 5, making her a pretty good damage source. It's a tricky skill because it involves probability, but units with the Poison ability are excellent for magical attacks.
Since it's magic, you can't miss, and if you can inflict poison on her first turn, it will ignore armor and deal 4 points of damage in one turn.
VIRID VENOMANCER has two great abilities (I'm assuming an Intermediate level cap), but it's surprisingly cheap, since it's a common card.
One GF costs $0.393. It's so cheap! It's a must-have card, considering its versatility. Its mana cost of 5 means it can be used in a ton of different situations.
Ideally, it'll be even more useful if you level it up to level 5 so it can use Poison. Even if you buy it at level 5 in GF, it costs $1.965, which is roughly 3,200 DEC.

私は昔、Shield Word は Armor を追加する能力だと勘違いしていました。「あんまり強くない能力だな」と思ってたけど、実際に使う機会があって使ってみたらあら不思議。

大体、Armor と Shield は間違いやすいんだよ。ステータスの Armor の数値を表すマークは明らかに ”Shield” の形をしてるし。ついつい、"シールド値" って言ってしまうのもしょうがないと思いませんか？思いますね。
VIRID VENOMANCER はレベル3からそんなややこしいアビリティ、 Shield Word を覚えています。さらにはレベル5で Poison も覚えるのでなるべくレベル5で使いたい。
優秀なアビリティを2つも覚えて、さらに魔法攻撃力も2点、マナコストも5と軽くてとても優秀な彼女は Earth を使うならほぼ確実に編成に入ってきますね。
例えばこのバトル。
対戦相手の編成は LUCKY LONGSHOT が遠距離攻撃と魔法攻撃の2種を Weapons Training で CONCLAVE ARTIFICER に付与しています。
さらに、両方とも Gnome 種族なので RAZI で Painforge も付与されていて、私もよく使う Painforge で攻撃力を上げる作戦です。
普通に考えれば、攻撃回数がこの2体だけで4回もあるので、普通に強化されて行くととても厄介なことになりますが。
しかし。
QUILLIUN LEGIONARY が 自前で Void アビリティを持っているところに、VIRID VENOMANCER が Shield アビリティを付与しているので、物理も魔法も両方半減できます。
さらに、Thorns もあるので反撃ダメージも期待出来てとても良い、これは良いタンクだ！
古くは LORD ARIANTHUS の時代から Shield と Void を両方持っているタンクというのは強力だとされています。現在のモダンの環境では両方を覚えるユニットはいませんが、こうやって Shield Word で付与すれば疑似的にダブルアビリティのナイスタンク化できるわけですね。
そんな ナイスタンク 作成エンチャンターとして VIRID VENOMANCER が活躍するわけですよ！（まぁ、何も考えずに付与して負けるってこともしょっちゅうですけどね。😂）
彼女はレベル5になると Poison も覚えるのでダメージソースとしてもなかなか優秀です。確率が絡んでくるので難しいところですが、魔法攻撃で Poison アビリティ持ちのユニットは優秀。
魔法だからミスすることは無いし、初手に毒を与える事が出来ればアーマーを無視しつつ、1ターンで4点のダメージですからね。
優秀なアビリティを2つも持ってる（私は Intermediate のレベルキャップを想定してるので） VIRID VENOMANCER ですが、意外とお値段はお安い。コモンのカードだからね。
GF1枚で 0.393 ドルです。めっちゃ安い！汎用性の高さを考えればぜひ持っておくべきカードですね。マナコストが5なのもああって、使えるシーンはめっちゃ多いです。
出来ればレベル5にして Poison も使えるようにすればさらに頼りがいがでます。GFのレベル5で購入しても 1.965 ドルです。 DEC 換算して 大体 3,200 DECくらい。

あ、でも注意点として、ユニットのレベルに合わせて、サモナーカードのレベルを上げておかないと駄目ですよ。そこだけ注意ですからねー
