Hi Hivers and abundance LOVERS!
How are your jungles hanging and your crypto empires growing? Lush I trust! I have been short of time for uploading recently due to narration work load but I do love to get back here when I can. I love this community and am so grateful to be a part of it.
So I have been planting out papaya trees. I have more than I need so going to be giving away a load to anyone of my friends who wants one.
Every year there are winners and losers in the vegetable garden. This year has been a struggle for one or two things.
My sweet bell peppers that usually grow so perfectly have this year been suffering from brown patches that appear one day to the next out of nowhere. Check out my pic below and see if you recognise the issue. One train of thought seemed to think it may be lack of calcium so I have been grinding up egg shells and adding to the soil - the plants will enjoy it whether or not a lack of calcium is the cause of the problem. It is possibly too much water but it seems unlikely - as I have been growing these bad boys for years and not had this problem. Grapes this year are suffering the effects of intense winds back when the flowers were just setting the fruit and the result has been maybe just 40% of fruit on the bunches compared with full bunches that I usually enjoy. I guess if there is any sort of positive to the ravished bunches then it would be that it seems there has been less tendency to suffer powdery mildew on the fruit. The air circulates better when the fruit bunches are less compact with full fruit production.
WHAT IS THIS NASTINESS? I opened it up to look for tell tale signs of bugs or critters of any kind but could find nothing.
Summer days are certainly the time for chilled teas and I have been blending all sorts for healthy refreshments this year.
This beautiful Lizzy had to be rescued from my cats who wanted to play. Such cool looking toes! LOL
How are your gardens growing? Huge harvests and abundance I hope.
See you in the next one...... happy being!
