Preparing a Back to School Emergency Kit for my Middle School Niece

Hi friends and lovers of Homeschooling, were still in the New year season, so I'll say happy New year to you all. I just realized that some parents neglect they're supposed to give to their girl child/children who are up to the age of puberty. Most parents in my country feels that providing food, shelter and some clothings are the only needs of the girl child. Once a girl reaches the age of puberty, we all know that she starts experiencing menstrual cycle and needs special attention from her parents or will get it from outside, which might lead to teenage pregnancy if she's not matured in taking some decisions for herself. The reason for this post is because of my effort to help my girl children after I overheard a conversation between my middle school niece and her friend during their visit to my house. I overheard her friend telling her that her parents don't even bother to buy her sanitary pads when she's experiencing her menstrual cycle and she has to ask from her male friends to help her with some money to purchase sanitary pads. This broke me down because I know the implications of asking the opposite sex (male) money for that purpose, although, some male friends may not have ulterior motives towards the girl child but in all sincerity it's very dangerous and could lead the girl into abusive (sexual) relationship. Greetings from @salvadornkpara.

It was a pretty long and enjoyable Christmas holidays that saw us visiting friends and making merry with family and friends. Although retuning to work for me and school for the my niece was one difficult decision because of the holidays. It's been three years since I and my sister started collaborating to prepare back to school for my little middle school niece. My ideas of the back to school emergency kit is making available all the necessities a young girl will need to help during her stay in school. Before I forget, she's a boarding student and will be coming home after her school term. So I prepare the emergency back to school kits for twice every term.

I conclude by saying that making the girl child feel at home and giving her the feeling that her family can take care of her needs, gives her a complete atmosphere for learning devoid of much distractions. My advise to some parents, buying sanitary pads and other necessary things she needs won't finish your income. #make_the_girl_child_feel_at_home Thanks, hope you're blessed by my post. This post was supported by my lovely wife and my colleague in the homeschooling business Mrs Victoria Salvation Nkpara.
