I haven't written here for some time. Today I want to tell you about my experience in the first delivery of my doggy baby.
Well, it was not in my plans for Siri to come out in state now, because the vet told me that she was a dog that was very late for her age, nor have her fangs come out, so I was being very careful that that did not happen. The thing was that I had to travel to Havana and spend a long time there, I left Siri with my dad, and obviously he is not as jealous with this shot as I am.
Being in the capital, Siri got into heat and my dad told me that a black dog from the street came in at the slightest opportunity and even slept with her in her little bed and there they would wake up, no, it was all a nineteenth-century style romance. When I returned from Havana I found this situation: I was already pregnant.

It was quite a challenge, because I have a very spoiled little dog, she got tired easily, she ate for ten and I emphasize the spoiled because everything was taken to wherever she was, if I put the food far away from where she was, she didn't stop to reach it. How lazy she is!
We did not know exactly when she would be in labor, because the dates were not very clear, I only know that in the time she had already been in Santiago the father of the puppies did not give any signs😅.
There was one day that Siri slept under my bed and I was even up that night because that's when I knew she was already giving birth, but nothing, that night it wasn't. The next morning I was organizing my bookcase when I skated with something super slippery. It was the placenta of a puppy, I almost hurt him, at that moment everyone in the house had to start looking for Siri, apparently she went into labor, gave birth to that one in my room and hid.
It was under my mom's bed, there I was having the second one. We immediately moved her to a more comfortable place where we could help her, because she was not taking the dogs out of the bag and they were at risk of drowning.

You won't believe me, but Siri got scared every time a little dog came out of her and that's why she ran away and left them there and another one came out behind, when we realized that and automatically when we saw that another one was coming we held her, we pricked the bag and from there we put it on her to lick them.

It was a very nice experience, that was where my mom, my younger brother and I were, we have always helped the biggest dog we have in childbirth but more as assistants or observers, not so directly. After the puppies were out of the bag and clean, we put them to nurse and then placed them in a tankette, we realized that leaving one to suck milk was easier for her when it came to giving birth to another, curious.

The morning was spent on this task. When she finished, we prepared a corner of the terrace for her and her puppies, there were eight in total. Their colors were between black and light brown, they were beautiful!

Siri definitely wasn't ready for childbirth, but she was ready for motherhood, she's doing the best, and I'm happy to be a grandmother.😊

Hola familia bonita. Feliz inicio de semana.
Hace algún tiempo que no escribo por aquí. En el día de hoy quiero contarles mi experiencia en el primer parto de mi bebé perruna.
Bueno, no estaba en mis planes que Siri saliera en estado ahora, pues el veterinario me decía que era una perrita que estaba muy atrasada para su edad, ni los colmillos le han salido, por lo que estaba siendo muy cuidadosa con que eso no sucediera. La cosa fue que tuve que viajar a La Habana y estar un buen tiempo por allá, dejé a Siri con mi papá, y obviamente él no es tan celoso con este toma como yo.
Estando en la capital, Siri se puso en celo y mi papá me contaba que un perro negro de la calle entraba en la mínima oportunidad y hasta dormía con ella en su camita y allí amanecían, no, era todo un romance estilo siglo XIX. Cuando regresé de La Habana me encontré con esta situación: ya estaba embarazada.

Fue todo un desafío, pues tengo una perrita muy malcriada, se cansaba con facilidad, comía por diez y recalco el malcriada porque todo se lo llevaba a donde estuviera, si le ponía la comida muy lejos de donde se rencontraba ni se paraba a alcanzarla. ¡Qué perezosa!
No sabíamos con exactitud cuando estaría en trabajo de parto, pues las fechas no estaban muy claras, sólo sé que en el tiempo que llevaba ya en Santiago el papá de los cachorros ni daba señales😅.
Hubo un día que Siri durmió bajo mi cama y hasta estuve en vela esa noche porque ahí supe que ya estaba al parir, pero nada, esa noche no fue. A la mañana siguiente me encontraba organizando mi librero cuando patiné con algo súper resbaloso. Era la placenta de un cachorro, casi lo lastimo, en ese instante todos en la casa nos tuvimos que poner a buscar a Siri, al parecer comenzó el parto, parió ese en mi cuarto y se escondió.
Estaba debajo de la cama de mi mamá, allí estaba teniendo al segundo. Enseguida la trasladamos para un lugar más cómodo y en el cual pudiésemos ayudarla, pues no estaba sacando a los perritos de la bolsa y corrían el riesgo de ahogarse.

No me van a creer, pero Siri se asustaba cada vez que salía un perrito de ella y por eso huía y los dejaba ahí y atrás salía otro, cuando nos dimos cuenta de eso ya automáticamente que veíamos que venía otro la sujetábamos, pinchábamos la bolsa y de ahí se lo poníamos para que los lamiera.

Fue una experiencia muy bonita, en eso estábamos mi mamá, mi hermano menor y yo, siempre hemos ayudado a la perra más grande que tenemos en el parto pero más como asistentes u observadores, no de forma tan directa. Después que los perritos estaban fuera de la bolsa y limpios, se los poníamos a que los amamantara y luego los acomodábamos en una tanqueta, nos dimos cuenta que dejándole uno para que succionara leche era más fácil para ella a la hora de parir otro, curioso.

La mañana se nos fue en esta tarea. Cuando terminó le acondicionamos una esquina de la terraza para ella y sus cachorros, fueron ocho en total. Sus colores eran entre negro y marrón claro, ¡estaban preciosos!

Definitivamente Siri no estaba preparada para el parto, pero sí para la maternidad, le está sentando de lo mejor, y yo estoy feliz de ser abuela.😊
