Good day everyone. It is very nice to be here. I go by the name @sammimed. I really want to appreciate the great members of this community. I will be entering into this community with a topic titled CHOOSING A CAREER. I will be listing 3 things to consider first before picking a career.
We often make mistakes as individuals or parents when it comes to choosing careers for ourselves or for those around us. It is actually a heavy task to do because it can be a lifetime blessing or damage.
Choosing a career, allot of individuals look for careers that pay well, careers that are needed in the country and have respect but literally, choosing career goes beyond this. I want to share something's that are to be considered while choosing a career.
Today, am a nurse by profession and most people do ask me why didn't I go and be a doctor and also some suggest I switch to be a doctor. But I feel nursing defines my orientation for choosing a career.
Firstly when choosing a career, you have to understand and agree with yourself about going into this course, are you sure you want to do it, does doing it worth it and all. Things like this must and should be an individual thought and acceptance. This enables great engagement in career pursue.
Secondly, financial state: sometimes we neglect the financial demand of a career and go into it. Your ability to focus in school depends also in your financial supply. This gives an edge.
Thirdly, societal demand. All careers are really good and needed in day to day running of a country but regardless, some careers are needed in larger amount than others. This should be considered too.
Thank you so much. For now I will stop here. We will continue some other time.
