In this present world and in the recent past, we have seen amazing innovations and great businesses. What you have to understand is that these great business began as spark of ideas from the mind - which could be vision, dream, idea, or passion. The passion within you has the ability to change your life effectively and also the life of many other people when you turn it to reality. Take airplane for example; the Wright Brothers turned their passion to reality and it did not just affect their lives, but it has affected millions of others even after they have gone, and has changed the face of transportation permanently. When you turn your passion to business, and your idea to reality, you will make a difference in the world.

In life, there are things that you are supposed to fulfill, the desire within your mind, what you are built for, where your potentials should be channelled to, the dreams that drive you, all these are pointers towards your passion. Passion is not just about "passing thoughts," but it is a call to action, and to put your dream to work to make it a reality. No matter what you are passionate about, not matter how long and powerfully well you may have been dreaming, what will make the difference is when you have acted upon it. The courage to start is what places you on the pathway of turning your passion into business. It is true that passion is good, because it is like a fuel to a car. However, you cannot pour fuel into a car without an engine and expect it to start or to move. The action you put in is like the engine. While passion fuels the dream, action is like the engine that makes it work.
No good thing of value is gotten and sustained by accident. It takes actions, efforts, works, and even sacrifices to achieve greatness. In the cause of taking the steps, you may be faced by uncertainties, doubts, and even fears, but they should not stop you from advancing. In fact, you may not even see the entire journey all the way to the end before you take your first step. But always have this in mind, even most of these great business people and innovators did not also have all the answers before they started. Some of them learnt while on the journey. As you take the step, the road will teach you more lessons. Even the experiences you gain will give you more insight on how to be better.
Anything you want to start, including a business venture, you have to understand that you may not have the full support that you will ever need at the start. As a matter of fact, you may not even have the perfect time, or the perfect start, but you have to start with what you have. As you start, you will observe and learn a lot of things to sustain you along the way. Even if you start small, the little win you experience can go a long way to push you forward. After a while of making progress, you will look back and realise that what was once an idea or a dream has become, not just a reality, but a source of income.

A friend who is into the sales of clothes and who owns a big boutique told me how he started. He did not have much money even though he had the idea to have a boutique. So he started from selling used clothes called "Okrika" in this part of the world. He could not even afford a bale of Okrika, so he used to share with others. That was how he started. He was consistent, he put in efforts, never gave up, and the business succeeded. Down the line, in about 5 years, he owns a very big boutique with over 7 workers. If he had been waiting for the perfect time or the full monetary support to start, he may not have even started till now. As you create an idea, you have to understand that it is your actions that will turn it to reality, and the actions must be timely.
