A few days back, I read about Marie Curie and her works. She is regarded as one of the top female scientists in history, who won the Nobel Prizes for her works in radioactivity. In fact she won two Nobel Prizes; one in physics and another in chemistry, making her the only person who won that in two different fields. One thing that I discovered about her, through her biography, is that she was open-minded. At the time where women were discouraged from pursuing career in science related fields as that, she did not allow the societal limitations to define her, rather she followed after her passion. This created a pathway for her to carve her name on the science hall of fame. This goes to show that when your mind is open, you will attract opportunities.

Every great achievement that you have seen now and even the ones in history all started as ideas. More often than not, these ideas may seem absurd and may even look impossible, but the great innovators conceived them. They were able to think differently and never allowed the impossibilities to limit them. You will agree with me that ideas do not just fall from oblivion, rather they are fertilised in an open mind - a mind that can believe the impossible, dare the unimaginable, and break through limits. If someone had told the people in the 16th century that a device can be built that will enable them to talk from one corner of the world and be heard from another corner of the world, they will call it impossible or even sorcery. But now, we have the mobile phones. This shows that there is almost nothing impossible to the one with an open mind.
When you have an open mind, you will begin to see the world differently. For example, instead of seeing problems in challenges, they will see solution and opportunities. Instead of seeing a broken piece of egg, they will see a delicious omelette. Instead of seeing the waves of the sea, they will simply direct their sails to turn it to their advantage. An open-minded person will always be ready to welcome new opportunities and try out new innovations. They do not believe that something will continue to happen in the same way till eternity - they will try to create a difference and make things differently. They will be motivated to leave their comfort zone and embrace the world from a different perspective.
Think about the Wright Brothers that imagined us flying, and gave humankind the aeroplane, Thomas Edison that contributed his own quota by giving the light bulb, Elon Musk that envisioned inter-planetary colonisation and Mars terraformation, etc, all these great innovators all had one thing in common - an open mind. Trust me, all these would not have been possible if they did not possess an open mind that will look beyond what they see. With an open mind, you think beyond the ordinary, and you challenge limitations. That is, you are think beyond the limit.

It is worthy to note that being open-minded does not mean blindly accepting any idea that flies around, rather it is about making room for exploration. It makes you curious enough to explore new things, and try out new possibilities. When your mind stays open, you will allow creativity to flow within you. Even if the new idea does not work, but each attempt that you make towards it will sharpen you and bring you closer to something extraordinary. In your daily life, being open-minded can change the way you view things and your perspective about life generally. That is, instead of saying "this cannot be done" or "it is impossible," you will say "how can this be done?"
Being open-minded also makes you to listen to others to get their own opinions instead of holding on tightly to your own. This also helps you to rub minds together and achieve something bigger. There are things that you can only achieve better and quicker when you rub minds together with others. This is why you have to be open to welcome ideas and inputs from others. What you breed in your mind will determine how your life will be. So think of possibilities, positivities, and explore new ideas. If you can think it and if you can breed it in your mind, then you can achieve it.
