Issues will never be absent in life. They appear here and there, out of the blue, and here and there, one right after another. However, I have found out that it is how I react to these challenges and not the challenge itself. When I approach problems with calmness, I reason better, I pray better and I come up with solutions more quickly.
The Bible has a lot to say on this. According to the Bible, in Proverbs 14: 29, the Bible says that, he that is slow to wrath is of great understanding. This implies that I am able to be calm and comprehend situations.
Most of the times, whenever issues struck me, my response was fear, worry or frustration. However, over time I have realized that there is no use panicking and making the situation larger. I am able to think more clearly when I relax, despite the difficulty of the situation. I start remembering promises of God.
Philippians 4:6 7 says that we are not to worry about anything, but we are to pray about everything. Reading this scripture, I get motivated since I know that peace will protect my heart provided that I resort to praying instead of panicking.
Another thing that I have acquired is that calmness is one indication of trust in God. When I decide to remain calm, I suppose that God is still in control. In the fourteenth chapter of Psalm 46, he tells us: Be still, and know that I am God.
This verse reminds me that I am not the one fighting my battles but God does it. When I remain quiet in my heart, He will put me in the right solution at the right time.
Peace of mind is another thing that allows me to make no mistakes. When I am in a hurry or I am angry I regret what I said or did. However, when I stop, relax, pray and then take action, I get better outcomes.
When my spirit is calm then problems are handled with ease. I have also observed that calmness makes me more listening to people giving advice to me and to the voice of God.
To sum up, it is not a weakness to address problems in a calm manner. It is strength. It is wisdom. It is faith. It demonstrates that I have more faith in God than fears. The Bible urges us to put all our anxieties in His hands since He is concerned about us (1 Peter 5:7).
And thus when the issues arise, I remember to remain calm, pray, think straight, and have total confidence in God. This has enabled me to rise out of numerous problems, and will keep on assisting me as long as life persists.
