A brother like no other

Greetings!

Having a good and loving younger brother is a great gift from God. Joshua, my younger brother, is one person that's always stood by me through thick and thin moments of my life and I can boldly say that he's someone that can be trusted as a younger brother.

I have heard people talking ill of their brothers, but in my own case, there's nothing bad to talk about my brother and this is because he's been tested overtime by me and I would say he's just a version of himself when it comes to his relationship with me and others around us.

Although we do have our differences, our differences are always meant towards achieving great things together.

I could remember when I was away for my one year mandatory NYSC. Then, towards the end of my service year, I was depressed and this was because I have nothing to hope for after the service year.

So, for this reason, I was hopeless and I have nobody to share my heavy heart with, so I called my younger brother who I share my burden with.

When I called him, I said to him saying,

“Josh, I'm tired of this life and I don't think I will be coming home.” “Why?” He asked. “I'm not happy at all,” I said. “I said why?” He asked again.

It's this time I narrated everything to him. I told him that I have been unable to save anything since I started my NYSC and that there is only a month left to pass out. Looking at the state of things, I was not sure of doing anything at the end of my service year.

So, when he heard this, all he said was,

“All will be well.”

He asked me not to panic as everything is under control. Although I was not totally convinced with his words, at least, his words were able to calm me down.

So, after my NYSC, I relocated back to Osogbo, my base before I left for the NYSC and on getting home, I was surprised to see what Josh, my younger brother, had helped me put in place.

Although, before I graduated from the university and as an agricultural science student, I have always had the dream of having a pig pen which I didn't really know how to put in place.

But to my greatest surprise, Josh had already helped me to set up my longtime dream and here I am having a pen of my own with pigs already bought and put in the pen.

“Am I dreaming?” I asked myself. “No, you're not dreaming, it's real,” Josh answered. “How did you do this?” I asked. Well, “I invested in crypto and with my little profit, I decided to put up this little thing for you as my brother and helper,” he said. “Josh, this is big and not little,” I said. “You just don't worry,” he replied. “Okay, thank you so much, I know that I can't thank you enough,” I said. “You are welcome sir,” he responded.

So, that's how I was able to escape hopelessness and became a pig farmer, something I have always dreamt of right from my 100 level days at the university and with the help of a brother,  I was able to live my dream.

Right now, I can boldly say that I have made it big in the piggery business and living my dream has made me fulfilled in life.
