According to Psalms 94:11 and as reviewed by Bro. Eli, we were made to understand that the wisdom of the wise and that of the prudents is vanity. Which means, there's nothing in the understanding of man which would be enough to understand God's word.
Also, we were made to know that it's in the wisdom of God that we can understand the word of God. Bro. Eli, in his analysis of the scriptural verse in 1 Cor 2:10 said that, “it's the spirit of God that reveals deep and secret things to us, which means, the deep and secret things in the word of God can only be understood as revealed to us by the spirit of God.
So, what this means is that, no human understanding is enough for us to understand the deep and secret things in the word of God.
No wonder I used to read and study the scripture in the past without understanding, but with this, I think I would be able to understand the word of God as revealed to me by the spirit of God himself.
In conclusion, we all need the spirit of God for proper understanding of his word as there is no way for us to understand his word without his spirit as every of our understanding and wisdom as humans is vanity upon vanity.
