Greetings!
The saying that, “all work without play makes Jack a dull boy,” is indeed a saying that is very important when it comes to people resting their heads from stress.
Thank God for the holidays that we used to have as being declared by the government. Had it been there's nothing like a holiday, then stress would have overwhelmed the majority of us and worn us out, but because of the holiday, we now have time to ourselves and our family members once in a while.
When talking about holidays, it's always been the best time of my life over the year as it always helps me to refresh myself and my head for the rest of the working days in the year.
Although, as good as holiday is, there's also the other side of holiday as too much of it is not good, most especially for the country's economy.
Having talked about my view based on both the human and economic side of holiday, I would like to go into details about the effect of too much holiday on both the economy and the people.
One thing that's very sure is that too much holiday would always affect the economy as those days left without going to work would serve as a loss to the economy such that people would not have any reason to pay their taxes and revenue to the government purse thereby contributing loss to the economic sector of the country.
Aside from this, it would also affect the personal financial status of an individual which in the other way affects our feeding and other things back home.
Some time ago, when a holiday was declared for a local government election in my state, my father who happened to be a transporter couldn't go to work as movement was restricted everywhere and having been used to spending daily money, it affected all of us that day.
So, there's no way too much holiday would not affect the economy of a country and that of our individual homes.
However, having a moderate number of days as holidays in a year to me is better than having none and this would always make workers and the citizens have more time to themselves.
Although, there are some people like that that love to work round the clock and round the year. These people may not like the idea of holidays as all they are after is money, but today, my advice to them is to always find time to rest and this is very important to us living a healthy life.
Also, it's not as if I love the idea of holidays as such, but if it's a moderate one, I think it would always be a welcome development to me. Although, before now, I loved too much holiday, but now, I don't like too much holiday and this reason being because of my little investment in the stock exchange.
Before I started the investment, I always wanted the government to declare it as a week holiday as it would not affect me, but now that I know there would not be anything like trading on the stock exchange, I have refused to love holidays as of before.
In conclusion, holiday is good as it creates us more time to rest and be free from stress, but too much of it is bad as it would affect our economy and our family finances negatively.
