We live in a world where transaction happens every second that passes by. You wake up, turn on the TV, and your money is already running out on electric bills. You switch to Netflix or Prime Video, and you have to pay for it to watch a movie. You need a roof over your head, and that costs money. Your belly makes a funny sound of hunger; you need money to get food. With each step or move you make, money is involved. You realize a lot about your life, and your financial strength governs your day-to-day activities.

But there is a resonating debate and conversation I have seen happen online, and it revolves around Is Money Everything? I have heard people say money is not everything, and there is more to life than just money. Then there is another quote I have also, that, before you can say money is not everything, first of all, make the money and see for yourself.

You cannot tell somebody who is looking for their daily bread that money is not everything and expect that they will accept it wholeheartedly. Or a chiling individual in the backseat of his Lexus LX570 tells you money is not everything. At that point, it is understandable if, in your mind that you say something like they can only say that because they have the money, and that is why they can tell someone who does not have it that money is not everything.

This talk has even led to talk about how money can buy happiness. Some people say no, it cannot, while others say Probably it can. Honestly, it is hard to distinguish which is right because these are conversations that are relative. Nobody is right or wrong; it is all relative, depending on the person in question. It is reasonable to believe there are moments money cannot buy. For instance, the birth of a child brings a kind of happiness it brings to the parents and the family of the baby. Now I do not know if there is a price that can be placed on that kind of joy.

And then there is the money you receive, a bank alert, a job opportunity, or promotion that comes with financial stability. You know things have taken a drastic turn for the better. Know this is another form of happiness, and if we are being true to ourselves, the money involved is what makes it happy to use. For one, I know what it can feel like to get a credit alert into an empty account of mine, especially when I was not expecting it. It can almost be synonymous with a miracle, if you know what I mean.

I guess where the talk about money not being everything originated from is in the concept that we can chase money so much because of the comfort it provides to our everyday life. So we tend to lose focus on the things that truly matter. Love, family, and our health. These three things are something I believe money cannot buy, but money can help in experiencing them on a premium level.

The talk about money being everything is relative. So I put it to you. Share your thoughts in the comment section. Is money everything? If so, why? And if not, why?

I look forward to your thoughts. We learn by sharing what we know.
