Hive Music festival week 139 round 1, I'm @sampraise77 and I will do a cover of a song titled “I Am Your Own” by GUC (Gift Ugochi Christopher)
This song captures the essence of giving yourself fully to God. It’s both a declaration and a prayer, showing that a believer’s life now belongs to God for His purpose.

It talks about a relationship with God. When GUC repeats, I am Your own, I am Your own, till the day You will come, Jesus, I am Your own, he’s expressing that he willingly belongs to Jesus. This isn’t a heavy thing; it’s a joyful acceptance of God’s love. The repetition isn’t just for sound; it stresses a deep truth in his heart that he is forever God’s.

It ties into Bible verses like Galatians 2:20, which says, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me...” GUC's lyrics show that living in Christ means setting aside personal desires to focus on God’s will. He clearly states a choice to give his life to Jesus, saying, I’ve made a covenant with my Jesus / I will serve You till the end / Jesus, I am Your own. This reflects a strong commitment based not on feelings but on a serious promise.

Another meaningful part is, If You leave me now, where will I go? If You leave me now, what will I do? This expresses a deep reliance on God, showing that without Him, life lacks purpose and peace. It shows that the singer views God
