Who or What stays with you ?

We have had an amazing view from my window, that we have been enjoying for more than a decade and suddenly the lady noticed some change.

Come and see, someone is digging a marker boundary in the middle, what does it mean ? Are they going to raise building here ? It will be so sad to see concrete instead of this view...she asked several questions at one go....

But whatever happens, isn't it a beautiful feeling to see his wife beside him while he is doing the hard part ?

I didn't have answers to any of her questions, so I kept silence watching the view for the entire day to see what's going on.

After some time, the man was alone for a short period of time but then he went for lunch possibly and then they both came back.

By afternoon, they were almost done putting that marker boundary and I was thinking again and again about the lady's remark - how sweet it is to see them together, even in the scorching heat. Probably I would not have realized that feeling, had she not told me.

We men are mostly straight, getting the job done is mostly our priority, taking the heavy load, but then a little sprinkle of love changes the entire game adding the catalyst. And sprinkling that little sprinkle every time, for the entire life is precious than anything else - Love is that flame which blazes up each time and every time - we realize that as we grow older like old wine.

So who or what stays with us ? The view gets divided many times in life - when we were a kid, we had a simple view, when we grew up, it becomes complex and again when we get older, it changes - but it's the love that stays with us - the lady or our life partner, like the view of the sky, which is eternal.

And the most beautiful part of the view is that, unless you pay attention, you will always miss, whatever or however close they may be. So if you have not paid attention yet, then it's high time to shift part of your focus to that little flame that consumes everything else but the Beloved. It needs consistent practice to appreciate everything she does - there will be always difference, but we must realize the fact that irrespective of all the difference, the flame has decided to stay with us - so be one of the fortunate few to cherish that flame, nurture it, light our way - before it's gone forever.........
