Slowly starting to draw, and also trying digitalizing methods with Gimp

Hi, this is my first post here. Never been much of an illustrator (or drawer?) but lately I've slowly been trying my hand at it

I tried out loosely copying as well as drawing from memory a few Isidoro Cañones, one of the most famous Argentinian comic characters, by Dante Quinterno. As these comics have a minimalistic style, they might be good to start learning.

First lead pencil, then a common blue writing pencil or a black 0.3mm fineliner inking.

Then I tried digitalizing using Gimp photo editor. I tried using 3 or 4 different methods and I chose as the better one the Threshold method from the Colors window. I also tried out some enhancements redrawing some lines or deleting some parts of others, as well as trying colors with one
