Last weekend I had a chance to travel to Braga to attend the fifth edition of Hopen Summer Beer Festival, organized by Cerveja Letra, a Portuguese craft beer company located north of the city.
We arrived in Braga on Friday around noon and decided to take a walk and have lunch before going to the festival, which started at 4:00 pm in the afternoon.
It was my first time in the city and I loved some of the old town buildings.
At 4:30 pm, we had a brief meeting with Filipe, co-owner of Cerveja Letra, and received some explanations about the festival and its winter edition.
We then took a nice tour around the area after purchasing the festival t-shirt.
It was a great experience, although we left before sunset, as we had a 3-hour drive ahead of us. However, you can get an idea of all the weekend action on Hopen's Instagram account.
Next year, we plan to spend a couple of days.
