Lake Ritsa is the pearl of Abkhazia, the most beautiful lake, the hit of all excursion routes, and just a beautiful and fascinating place among the mountain peaks!
Ritsa is beautiful in summer, when its steep banks, as if covered with a soft fluffy green veil of forests. It is beautiful in the fall, in a golden frame of trees.
I went there so many times, not only purposefully, but also in transit towards Aouadkhara or on the way to the village of Pskhu, always in summer. And as many times, and even more, looking at the winter photos of the Ritsa, she dreamed of going up there in the winter time. It didn’t happen on New Year’s holidays, but now, in March, having arrived in Abkhazia on one’s own way, a visit to the Ritsa came first.
