A beautiful week ahead of us all. welcome to my blog once again. I want to share my thoughts on topic: Leaving Your Comfort Behind.
Comfort is sweet and we enjoy it. And having to leave your comfort zone is a choice that we must take in other to succeed in life.
Leaving your Comfort Behind, for me involves. Being intentional, setting goals, making sacrifices, growing up, learning new skills chasing something greater, looking out for new opportunities and making tough decisions.
Growing up, i enjoyed the comfort of my father's house, i eat free food, sleep with out thinking about tomorrow, visiting and going out with my friends and playing games. Because all the things i needed were provided by my parents. You will agree with me that comfort while sweet can become a trap. And comfort comes with familiarity. I discover that staying in my comfort zone was no longer healthy to me, and also discover that my life was on rotation, i was doing thesame things over and over again with out stress.
Then i told my self, you have to challenge yourself and do something new. I left my comfort zone which is my father's house to go and learn skill. I was leaving alone, and i faced the challenge of making important decisions, providing for myself. It wasn't easy for me because some of the things provided for me by my parent's, where no longer there. Sometimes, i go hungry, sometimes i treak to my place of work because i couldn't foot all the bills.
Then i realise that every step away from comfort, is a step towards growth. Then i learnt to be self reliance, responsible, making decisions that yielded good results. And even able to care for my siblings to the best of my ability. I was able to see a part of me i never knew existed outside my comfort zone.
Leaving my comfort dose not mean i have left what i love doing no, rather it has sheped me into the woman i am today and made me to become a better version of myself. Yes leaving your Comfort Behind, is worth doing.
