Who would have thought that we would be back here again after 17 years? My father initiated this beach getaway last Sunday and as an early celebration of Father's Day, we all agreed. The initial plan was supposedly at Moalboal Beach, but due to the box jellyfish reportedly seen in the vicinity, we decided to push through our family outing at Sayaw Beach, Barili Cebu. We recalled the last time we were here and counted the years that we were all amazed at how old we are now after realizing that it has been 17 years! Imagine that? There's a lot of improvement at Sayaw Beach already, now they have plenty of Cottages that we can rent from, ranging from Php500 to Php1,000, depending on how big the cottage is. Also, if you opt for the Php1,000 rate there's a karaoke machine there that you can use to have fun more while singing your heart out. We just stayed at the Php500.00 rate since we arrived as early as 7:00 in the morning and would probably go home early. Also, you don't need to pay for an entrance fee if you will rent a cottage. For the regular rate entrance fee, Adults = Php40.00 while kids = 10.00.

They also have a huge parking lot with a Php20.00 parking fee. If you want to avail an overnight stay, you can also rent a room there. For price details, you can check it out [here.](https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=620576966754686&set=a.468048765340841)

We have chosen the cottage near the beach, the grill station, and the restroom so it will be more convenient for us, especially since our parents are both senior citizens already. There is also a sari-sari store where you can buy soap, shampoo, chips, soft drinks, and a lot more. The kids will also enjoy it since they are selling inflatables as well that they can use.

From the City, we have to wake up early since we rented a van and will depart at 4:00 in the morning. We prepared all the stuff and food to bring the night before so we would have a smooth sailing trip. We arrived at 6:30 in the morning, and since they open at 6:00 in the morning, we were the first ones to arrive, we had our breakfast right away and let our parents and the kids enjoy the beach for an early morning dip. We love how developed the place already and we had fun reminiscing our moments here 17 years ago. It was indeed a beautiful family bonding that made both of our parents happy.
How about you? How was your weekend so far?
