Description from Strava: Hello, fellow runners! I am a user in Hive, which is a blockchain-based social platform, under the ign of @saydie, and have just recently found enjoyment in running and participating in running events, with the first event I joined took place only a week ago. At first, I thought it was only a one-time thing, but reaching the goal gives me a sense of accomplishment, and I find myself with the desire to continue it. The reason I talked about that was because in today's run, I decided to deviate from my usual running spot and instead run my way to Philippine Arena, where the last event I joined took place, to register for the Bocaue Half Marathon that will take place this November, under the 10Km category, which has an on-site registration in the area. Well, I can do it online, but my friend told me that I can get my race kit right away if I register on-site and show his own proof. Turns out it was not, and the reason that he get his kit was because he already registered long ago.
Regardless, I think it was a good experience since unlike running with a set distance of certain time this time, I have a set destination as well as a return point, giving me the motivation to push through what I think I can finish. It was also a good training for me since after this event that I joined, I was planning to pursue for a 21km category. It also allows me to experience different running to roads of different terrain and different elevation which, I won't get to experience when running in my usual running spot.
Anyways, this is my final run for the last day of August. I try to focus on my leg endurance rather my speed to see if my legs will hold out until the end, and thankfully, I was able to reach home without crawling.
