It's been around 2 weeks already since the new Voucher card became available in the [Voucher Shop](https://splinterlands.com/shop/voucher/main). This card is the 2nd Voucher card for the Conclave Arcana set and the 5th Voucher card to be sold in the shop, ever since it became the main utility for Vouchers, as they were removed as a discount for packs or an alternative entry fee for wild pass. Previously, I wrote a [post](https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@saydie/new-voucher-card-early-analysis) about my early analysis for this card, but because I made it so early, details about the cost of the card have been left behind. That is why, for this post, I want to talk about the different costs for **Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut** and the different means to obtain it.

Similar to the previous cards **Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut** will remain on the Voucher shop for a total of 90 days. Each day, we print about 40,000 Vouchers, and the Voucher card is meant to offset it to curb down the Voucher inflation. So, we can only say that it delivers its purpose if it were able to burn close to 3.6 M Vouchers, if not more, which, looking at this card, seems likely possible, given how it has much more utility than the last card.
Anyways, there are multiple ways to get this card. First is the General Card Voucher sale, which started last September 23. This is followed by the Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw, which will start on October 22. And finally, we have the Black Foil Arcane Auction, which will start on November 1.
During the general sale, each copy of **Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut** costs 1050 Vouchers, with 2% Gold Foil drop rate and a 0.0125% Black Foil drop rate. The chances of getting Gold foils can be doubled by using 20 Alchemy potions in each card, while for Black Foil, the chances can be doubled by using 20 Midnight potions in each card. For every 50 cards bought at once, a player is guaranteed to get 1 Gold Foil copy of the card, but it can be reduced to 25 with the use of Alchemy potions.
As of the writing of this post, 1050 Vouchers is equivalent to 37,575.246 DEC, so you should take it into consideration if you do not have enough amount vouchers.
General Voucher Sale
Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw
In this method, you cannot directly buy the card using Vouchers, but rather, players will need to craft or purchase Fortune Tickets that need 200 Aura, 10 Vouchers, and 200 DEC for each ticket. It takes 35 Fortune Draw tickets to get yourself an entry, which, even if it does not win, gives a guaranteed copy of the card, which also has a chance to turn Gold Foil. There will only be 5 Gold Foil Arcane copies of **Dar 'Gottem Gearnut'** that will be minted during the event, each of which is max level.

Looking at the current price of the Fortune Tickets, a player will need 36,087.655 DEC for 35 Fortune Tickets, which makes it a little cheaper than the voucher needed to buy the card at the general sale, but the price may go higher or lower depending on the supply of the Fortune Tickets.
Black Foil Arcane Auction
If you think that you do not have the luck to win in the Fortune Draw event, but still want to get the rarest of the card, there is also the Black Foil Arcane Draw, where players can just bid for the card. Just like the Fortune Draw, you cannot directly participate in the bidding with just Vouchers, and you need to have Auction Marks, which is the bidding currency used for the event, and can be crafted using 1000 Aura, 50 Vouchers, and 500 DEC. Just be prepared because there will only be 1 Black Foil Arcane **Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut** that will be minted in the event, with only a 24-hour duration, unless it gets extended when a new bid is made for up to 1 hour extension.
As for the price of Auction Marks, the cheapest in the market was priced at $ 1.96, but it is more likely that land whales, which can produce the resources needed for crafting Auction Marks, will be the ones that will compete for the card.
### Closing
And that was it for **Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut**, I think it is a way better and more desirable card compared to **Tasoshi Drakamoto**, and has more chance to make us Voucher deflationary. As for which event I will participate in, I think of waiting until the Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draws, since the price required to get a Fortune Ticket does not differ much from the Vouchers required for the general sale, and that will give me some chance to win an arcane version of the card. Right now, I am slowly accumulating Fortune Tickets to prepare for the upcoming event.
