Today is the first of June. Schools are reopening in my state for the academic year 2025-2026. Thankfully, there was no rain today, and it was quite sunny. So, a lot of families went out to shop for school supplies. Many people also ventured out to enjoy the respite from the rain.
Some schools provide books, stationery, and even uniforms, but most such schools fall into the private sector, and many students cannot afford them. However, local shops and even malls attract shoppers with good deals on school stuff like books, bags, umbrellas, water bottles, shoes, covering paper, stationery, and such. Some shops even sell stitched uniforms so that it is easier for parents to just buy them instead of going to a tailor.
Besides malls, even shops like Decathlon had school supplies to attract buyers. Of course, the sports stuff and not books. It was nice to note that several young parents bring their children and try out sports before buying the right item. The shop also provides the means for children to try out different games, and the space to play is huge. Many people also hang out here to exercise and have fun too.
Coming back to Hive, today is power-up day, and I hope you remembered to power up and participate in the power-up day challenge. Hive can change lives, and if you want to make a difference in your life, do make sure to power up at least ten Hive today. One can also power up one hive daily and participate in the monthly challenge. Last month, I missed a day and lost the opportunity to get the power-up month badge. I hope I can complete June power-up month.
When does the school year start in your place, and do you have any school-going kids in your family? If you are willing, you can donate books and stationery to needy kids through various charitable organisations. You can also do it directly. Donating a book to a child is a very good deed because it will help a child discover new worlds and also encourage them to read.
