Saludos, comunidad. Hoy es Día del Padre. De alegría para quienes tienen a sus padres vivos y cerca o son padres y tienen a sus hijos vivos y cerca. Y de nostalgia para los otros casos. Como el mío, mi padre fue a manos del Creador hace más de cuarenta años y mi esposo y padre de mi hijo hace cuatro años. Dos padres que faltan, que no podemos ver ni abrazar. Nos dejaron sus recuerdos – bellos – y sus enseñanzas – importantes-. Esta canción es un tributo para ellos, un homenaje para quienes no están físicamente pero que siempre permanecerán con nosotros y es decir a quienes sí los tienen que los disfruten porque uno nunca sabe hasta cuando tendrá cerca a las personas que ama.
Esta canción que les traigo, “Mi viejo”, del cantautor italiano que conocemos como Piero y que se asombrarán de cuan largo es su nombre: Piero Antonio Franco De Benedictis Scigliuzzo, es muy bella. Es el canto de un hijo que nota cómo su padre va envejeciendo, como “la edad se le vino encima”. Lo ve y reflexiona en cuántas tristezas no habrá llegado a experimentar en su vida y recopila todo eso en una breve frase: “El dolor lo lleva dentro”. Es una canción de mucha interiorización, poética también. Acá en Venezuela es “impelable” el Día del Padre, se ha convertido para nosotros en un clásico.
