Hello, community, I want to share with you a musical theme of Venezuelan folklore. It's called "My Love". I met him in the voice of the excellent vocalist María Teresa Chacín. As there, in the song, are some local idioms in it, I allowed myself to make a brief explanatory glossary of them:
*Lucero de la mañana (Morning star) : Name given to the sighting of the planet Venus that is easily mistaken for a star (the first to appear and the last to go)
- Araguaney: national tree of Venezuela. At a certain time of the year, it loses all its leaves, which are replaced by its yellow flowers.
*Punta'e gana'o: Herd of cattle
*The sun of the deers or sun of the araguatos: Coloration of a yellow with orange tones that takes the sun at a certain moment of the sunset.
*Araguatos: Monkeys whose color is almost orange.
*Cimarrón: wild, wild.

Morning star, lend me your clarity To illuminate the steps, to my lover who is leaving If you spend some work, away from my loneliness Tell the morning star to bring you back Tell the morning star to bring you back If my love is the mountain and my strength a cimarrón How you don't want me to sing, How you don't want me to sing like sing a heart If my love is the mountain and the flower of Araguaney, since you don't want me to have it, why not You want me to want to come back so much? If my love is the mountain and a point of cattle, like you don't want me to dream, like you don't want me to dream of the sun of the deers. Morning star, lend me your clarity to illuminate the steps, to my lover who is going If you spend some work, away from my loneliness Tell the morning star to return to you to me. If my love is the mountain and my strength a cimarron How you don't want me to sing, How you don't want me to sing like a heart sings If my love is the mount and the flower of Araguaney How you don't want me to have, how you don't want me to have So much desire to return. If my love is the mountain and a point of cattle How you don't want me to dream, how you don't want me to dream With the sun of the veers.
