Por mi parte, me topé sorpresivamente con esta estupenda sombra originada en un camión estacionado. Me gustó el juego de líneas que cambian de dirección al encontrarse.
I was surprised to come across this wonderful shadow cast by a parked truck. I liked the way the lines changed direction as they met.
Y en la tercera foto podemos ver la parte "maciza" de la sombra que no sigue con las líneas rectas sino que tiene semi curvas y es como que agrega belleza a la sombra - aunque esta tercera sombra no está participando en el concurso.
And in the third photo we can see the "solid" part of the shadow that does not follow straight lines but has semi-curves and it's as if it adds beauty to the shadow - although this third shadow is not participating in the contest.

Being a hunter of shadows means developing more and more the skill or sensitivity necessary to discover, to "detect" the beauty that is explicitly present where before we saw "only a shadow"
Y es que cada vez que traemos una sombra al concurso esta es producto de un proceso y es un proceso interesante. No se trata de que vimos una sombra, la fotografiamos y la trajimos y ya.
And the thing is, every time we bring a shadow to the contest, it's the product of a process, and an interesting one at that. It's not just a matter of seeing a shadow, photographing it, and bringing it along.
El asunto trata de que en la semana que separa una participación de otra, hemos visto muchas sombras. Traemos una pero hemos estado en contacto con varias, bastantes o muchas sombras, pero la que nos cautiva es la especial.
The point is that in the week between entries, we've seen many shadows. We bring one, but we've been in contact with several, quite a few, or many shadows, but the one that captivates us is the special one.
