Hola, comunidad. en esta semana 227 de Hive Open Mic, nos encontramos con una interesante temática “El Poder de un Beso”, esto me lleva a compartir con ustedes mi versión de la canción “Sellado con un beso” de Bobby Vinton. Esta canción es muy especial para mí. Es una de las primeras canciones que aprendí a tocar por oído en la guitarra y aunque han pasado décadas desde entonces sigue siendo una de mis favoritas. Antes la cantaba diciendo simplemente la, la, la, ya que no conocía su letra. De hecho no conocía cómo se llamaba ni quién la interpretaba. Pero desde niña siempre sentí fascinación por esta canción aun cuando escucharla me contagiaba de una tristeza profunda, una gran congoja. En esa época no tenía el menor conocimiento del idioma inglés, su letra era un misterio para mí, pero su música me hablaba de una despedida. Cuando falleció mi esposo me vi en la necesidad de someterme a terapia varios meses para poder salir a flote ya que fue una pérdida demasiado importante pues éramos muy compañeros, estábamos muy unidos y con su ida sentí como si perdiera la mitad de mi. La terapeuta a la que fui utilizó variás técnicas conmigo, hasta acupuntura. Un dia, al llegar a su consultorio, escuché que tenía puesta esta canción. Le pregunté si sabia cómo se llamaba y quién la cantaba. Me respondió que sí. que era “Sellado con un beso” de Bobby Vinton. Al tiempo la busqué por internet y pude leerla y saber de qué trataba. En estos días telefoneé a esa terapeuta porque necesitaba ayuda y ella me respondió que no me podía ayudar porque está pasando por un proceso de depresión. Esto me impactó mucho ya que ella ha ayudado a incontables personas a recuperarse de pérdidas, a salir de depresiones. Saberla en ese estado es algo demasiado contradictorio, pero es que la situación que vivimos en Venezuela es demasiado fuerte.

Hello community. In this week 227 of Hive Open Mic, we find an interesting theme “The Power of a Kiss”, this leads me to share with you my version of the song “Sealed with a Kiss” by Bobby Vinton. This song is very special to me. It's one of the first songs I learned to play by ear on the guitar and even though decades have passed since then it's still one of my favorites. But since I was a child I always felt fascinated by this song even though listening to it infected me with deep sadness, great distress. When my husband died, I had to undergo therapy for several months to be able to stay afloat since it was a very important loss because we were very close friends, we were very close and with his departure I felt like I lost half of myself. The therapist I went to used various techniques with me, including acupuncture. One day, when I arrived at her office, I heard that she had this song playing. I asked her if she knew what it was called and who sang it. She answered yes. which was “Sealed with a Kiss” by Bobby Vinton. At the same time I looked for it on the internet and I was able to read it and know what it was about. These days I called that therapist because I needed help and she answered that she couldn't help me because she is going through a process of depression. This impacted me a lot since she has helped countless people recover from losses, get out of depression. Knowing her in that state is something too contradictory, but the situation we are experiencing in Venezuela is too strong.
