Lo conocí en la voz de la inolvidable vocalista del folklore argentino Mercedes Sosa "La Voz de América Latina" cuando "en mi juventud" Estaba en Córdoba, Argentina, estudiando. Mi versión es más rápida que la original y hice algunas variaciones melódicas que espero les guste. “Zamba para no morir” fue popularizada por Mercedes Sosa pero fue escrita por Hamlet Lima Quintana, poeta argentino, autor de más de cuatrocientas canciones
