My personalized Hello Kitty: maximalist edition [ENG/ESP]

So, many of us who got the Happy Meal this time around had to get extra creative. In my opinion, the Hello Kittys from this season aren’t too bad-the real issue is that they’re poorly stitched, under-stuffed, and lack the intricate details of older series. Though honestly, I can’t expect much for $5 (sadly, $5 today isn’t what it used to be). Anyway, the creativity and drive I’ve seen from other girls online inspired me to customize my Kitty in my own style. Especially since I’ve been feeling super maximalist lately, and I’d love to wear her as an accessory along with a little belt I also made. > En fin, la creatividad e impulso que he visto de otras chicas en redes me ha animado a personalizar mi Kitty a mi estilo. It’s worth mentioning that my mother-in-law helped me stuff it earlier so it would look much chubbier 😁💖 > Cabe mencionar que anteriormente mi suegra me ayudó a rellenarla para que se vea mucho más gordita 😁💖 ---  ---  👉 1 👈 The first thing I did was cut a 15 cm piece of chain into three parts: one 7 cm and two 4 cm. The longer one will be used later for the decorative keychain that goes with my Hello Kitty. The shorter ones are for a small charm belt. I split it in two so it wouldn’t interfere with the product tag, but basically, one piece goes in the front and the other in the back. Then I attached three charms just to the front part of the belt, as shown in the next image: >Lo primero que realicé fue cortar un pedacito de cadena como de 15 cm en tres partes: una de 7 cm y dos de 4 cm. Seguidamente, ajusté tres dijes solo en la parte de adelante del cinturón, como se muestra en la siguiente imagen:  👉 2 👈 Next, I carefully sewed on a choker using metallic “braided leather” thread. I chose that color to match the silver chains, the charms, and the other details I added along the way. > Seguidamente, le cosí con mucho cuidado un choker con hilo "cuero trenzado" metalizado. Lo elegí de ese color para que combinara con las cadenas plateadas, los dijes y los demás detalles que fui colocando en su momento.  👉 3 👈 I then added a decorative ribbon underneath the choker to complement her aesthetic. Honestly, this was the centerpiece of my Hello Kitty from the start—just imagining how she’d look with it made me excited to transform her. > Procedí a colocarle bajo su choker una especie de cinta decorativa que hiciera juego con su estética. La verdad, desde el principio esta fue la pieza central de mi Hello Kitty; de solo pensar cómo se iba a ver con ella me animé a realizarle la transformación.  Here’s how the back looked. It’s not perfect since I’m not a sewing expert, but I still made sure it looked cute from both sides. > Así se iba viendo en la parte de atrás. No está tan perfecto porque no soy una experta en costura, pero igual estaba cuidando que se vea bonita por ambos lados.  👉 4 👈 I wanted to add some pearls to elevate her outfit’s elegance, so I made a kind of halo. It was super easy- I just threaded the beads and stitched it onto Kitty’s head with two discreet little stitches. > Quise agregarle perlitas para elevarle la elegancia a su outfit, así que procedí a realizarle una especie de aureola. Fue bastante fácil, solo uní las cuencas con hilo y procedí a coserla en la cabecita de Kitty con dos puntaditas discretas.  👉 5 👈 This part was one of the most fun! I decorated Kitty’s bow freely with pearl-like rhinestones. They already had adhesive, but I reinforced them with clear nail polish (since my super glue had dried out). > Esta fue una de las partes más divertidas, ya que fui decorando libremente el lacito de Kitty con piedritas similares a perlitas, las cuales ya traían su pega, pero las reforcé con brillo de uñas transparente (ya que se me secó la pega loca). I also decorated her wings with shiny rhinestones sewn on to make them pop more-I loved the result 💖💗 > A su vez, decoré sus alas con piedritas brillantes cosidas para que se vieran más resaltantes. Amé el resultado 💖💗  The final step was creating the keychain to go with her, using a charm that matched her aesthetic. I assembled everything using scissors since I didn’t have my jewelry pliers. Finally, I added a small chain, and with that, she was ready to be hung from the cord she already came with. > Lo último fue crear el llavero que la iba a acompañar, con un dije que combinara con su estética. Realicé todo el engranaje con tijeras, ya que no contaba con mis alicates de bisutería. Finalmente, le agregué una pequeña cadena y con esto ya estaba lista para colocarlo en el cordón que ya traía la Kitty para colgarla.  ---  And voilà-she turned out so pretty!
