Hello everyone, today I would like to tell you about my small solar powerplant, also called "balcony power plant", which I got myself this year. The price/performance ratio was simply wonderful, I have the space and so I just had to go for it. :)I personally look at the solar power plant as a solo operating miner, which practically could not run more cost-effectively. Sometimes it finds more blocks, sometimes fewer, depending on the sunlight it catches - but some are always found.^^

Hallo allerseits! Heute möchte ich euch von meiner kleinen Solaranlage, auch "Balkonkraftwerk" genannt, erzählen, welche ich mir dieses Jahr zugelegt habe. Das Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis war einfach wunderbar, ich hab den Platz und ja, da musste ich einfach zuschlagen. :) Ich persönlich sehe das Solarkraftwerk wirklich eher als Miner im Solo-Betrieb, der quasi nicht kosteneffizienter laufen könnte. Mal findet er mehr Blöcke, mal weniger, je nach Sonneneinstrahlung - gefunden werden aber immer welche.^^
The primary reason for investing in this system was of course a high prospect of reaching the point at which I have my investment back in my pockets and from then on generate profits relatively early. As well as of course lowering the monthly electricity costs, which will be more likely happening besides making profit with this small system. These are at a very high level in Germany... wondering which *highly intelligent* minds we have to thank for that...^^
Nature certainly also plays a role in my desicion, I love her, but I am still very undecided if several millions of these panels might not perhaps become a problem in 20 to 30 years... ;)

Alternatively, for 10 more Euros a system with bifacial panels (these are glazed on both sides and also allow light absorption from the *underside*) was available, but that did not make any sense to me, since in my case certainly nothing, not even at a point in the future, light will reflect from below onto the panels, nor will there ever be light falling directly onto the backside of any panel.

Der vorrangige Grund für das Investieren in diese Anlage war selbstverständlich eine hohe Aussicht auf ein relativ frühes erreichen des Zeitpunktes, an dem ich meine Investition zurück habe und ab dann ausschließlich Gewinne einfahre. Wie natürlich das senken der monatlichen Stromkosten, was wohl eher eintreten wird. Diese sind, wie ihr alle wisst, auf einem unglaublich hohen Stand... welchen *hochintelligenten* Köpfen wir das nur zu verdanken haben...^^
Die Natur spielt dabei sicherlich auch eine Rolle, ich liebe Sie, aber ich bin mir nach wie vor **sehr unschlüssig**, ob etliche Millionen dieser Platten in 20 bis 30 Jahren nicht doch vielleicht zu einem Problem werden könnten... ;)
Entschieden habe ich mich nach längerer Überlegung wie Recherche für [dieses Komplettsystem](https://www.alternate.de/ALTERNATE/Balkonkraftwerk-Set-BKW810-800_7-BLACK-FRAME-0-/html/product/100077966) mit 810W maximaler Ausgangsleistung für 229€ + 59,99€ Versand, was uns auf eine Gesamtinvestition von 288,99€ für ein System bringt.
Alternativ gibt es für 10€ mehr ein [System mit bifazilen Platten](https://www.alternate.de/ALTERNATE/Balkonkraftwerk-Set-BKW880-800_6-Bifazial-Black-Frame-0-/html/product/100071637) (diese sind auf beiden Seiten verglast und ermöglichen auch Lichtaufnahme von der *Unterseite* aus), das macht für mich allerdings absolut keinen Sinn, da bei mir mit Sicherheit nichts, auch nicht zu einem Zeitpunkt in der Zukunft, von unten her auf die Platten reflektieren wird oder gar Licht darauf fallen wird.
AKTUELL BEFINDET SICH DAS SYSTEM BEI ALTERNATE ANBEI WIEDER IM ANGEBOT!
Both of the systems mentioned above (you really may need a longer cable or possibly mounts for the panels, thats absolutely it) come with the same inverter, although I also cannot recommend any other for such a system. Why? Quite simple - **solid quality** and it addresses each panel individually, which in the end means, that shading of a single panel does not affect the entire system in which it is installed. Just makes absolute sense.
Beide obig verlinkten Komplettsysteme (ihr benötigt wirklich höchstens ein längeres Kabel oder gegebenenfalls Halterungen für die Platten) kommen mit dem selben Wechselrichter, wobei ich für ein solches System aber auch keinen anderen empfehlen kann. Warum? Ganz einfach - **solide Qualität** und er spricht jede Platte einzeln an, was im Endeffekt bedeutet, das eine Verschattung einer einzelnen Platte nicht das komplette System, in dem diese verbaut ist, beeinflusst. Macht einfach absolut Sinn.
My neighbor also got himself an identical system, however he "set it up" in a way less favorable spot (we both knew, "they will be moved again anyway"), which is why in the following posts I can also wonderfully show you a comparison of what a few meters difference, shading as well as a not optimal orientation can make in terms of difference.
We will relocate his system as soon as we have the time to prepare everything, since I really have enough space on an optimal area, which he is welcome to use.
Auch der Nachbar hat ein Baugleiches System erworben, dies allerdings an einer etwas ungünstigeren Stelle "aufgestellt" (wir wussten beide, *"die ziehen eh wieder um"*), weshalb ich euch in folgenden Beiträgen auch wunderbar einen Vergleich aufzeigen kann, was wenige Meter unterschied, Beschattung wie eine nicht optimale Ausrichtung für einen Unterschied machen können.
Wir werden sein System versetzen, sobald es uns zeitlich möglich ist alles vorzubereiten, da ich wirklich genug Platz auf einer optimalen Fläche habe, welche er gerne nutzen kann.
Whereby my substructure could also technically most likely be described as an emergency solution at the moment: Simply a couple of suitable pallets against a pile of earth, simply placing the panels more or less "on top with it" - after all I want those things to produce electricity, there is no value if they stay in their box.^^ However, the system is aligned quite optimally and the place intended for it (a roof) was also completed a few days ago - so the system, like that of my neighbor, will also soon move (the intended roof shades one panel in the picture above). :)
The dirt on one of the solar panels, trampled on there by the friendly cat living in my neighborhood or some snails wandering above it, was of course only completely removed after the photo was taken. :D
Wobei meine Unterkonstruktion aktuell Bautechnisch auch maximal als Notlösung zu bezeichnen wäre: Einfach ein Paar passende Paletten gegen einen Erdhügel und mehr oder weniger "drauf damit", ich will ja schließlich, dass die Dinger Strom produzieren, nicht im Karton rumliegen.^^ Die Anlage ist allerdings ziemlich optimal ausgerichtet und der dafür vorgesehene Platz (ein Dach), wurde vor einigen Tagen auch Fertiggestellt - das System zieht neben dem des Nachbarn also auch bald um (das vorgesehene Dach verschattet die eine Platte auf dem obigen Bild). :)
Den Dreck auf dem einen Solarpanel, welchen mir unter anderem die freundliche Mietze aus der Nachbarschaft oder die ein oder andere Schnecke da drauf verteilt hat, hab ich natürlich erst nach dem Foto vollständig entfernt. :D

Setting up the system was in any case child’s play, you really can not possibly do anything wrong while setting up such a system, at least I would strongly claim so. With the plugs you have "male" and "female", not to be confused at all since otherwise it will not fit together, and the cable with the plug connects just as easily. Then this plug simply needs to be plugged into a socket and after setting it up using an app, which also went smoothly, it immediately starts producing electricity.
For disconnecting the plug connections again, the use of a suitable tool is recommended (otherwise disconnecting them is nearly impossible!).
Aufzubauen war das System jedenfalls kinderleicht, da kann man wirklich absolut gar nichts falsch machen, wie ich doch mal stark behaupten wĂĽrde. Es gibt bei den Steckern "Male" wie "Female", nicht zu verwechseln, da es sonst nicht passt und das Kabel mit dem Schuko-Stecker verbindet sich ebenso einfach. Dann muss dieser lediglich noch in eine Steckdose und schon gehts nach dem Einrichten via App, welches ebenfalls problemlos verlief, direkt mit der Stromproduktion los.
Zum erneuten lösen der Steckverbindungen empfiehlt sich anbei ein entsprechendes Werkzeug (die anderweitig zu lösen ist nahezu unmöglich!).

Below you can see the stats of the two systems over a period of a little longer than 3 months, so you can get an idea of whether this might be worth for you, especially for readers living in Germany or countries with similar power cost. Aber jetzt zu den wichtigen Dingen, die euch wahrscheinlich auch am meisten interessieren - den Zahlen. Folgend seht ihr die Stats der beiden Anlagen über einen Zeitraum von etwas über 3 Monaten, damit ihr abschätzen könnt, ob sich das für euch eventuell lohnen würde, insbesondere natürlich für die in Deutschland lebenden Leser. Der "Schuppen" ist meine kleine Anlage und "Hinten" gehört dem Nachbarn.
I think the difference between the systems or more likely the placement will become quickly apparent. During the first two months, the neighbors system still kept up quite well thanks to the position of the sun, but as the year went on, the system achieved less and less comparable results.
My system, which in theory is really not positioned that bad, has so far produced 302.68 kWh, while the neighbors system has reached 156.81 kWh.
If calculated with 0.35€ per kWh produced, that gives me a saving of 105.94€ during this period, while my neighbor still has saved €54.88 thanks to setting up his system.

Ich vermute der Unterschied wird ist schnell ersichtlich. Die ersten zwei Monate, hatte die Anlage des Nachbarn aufgrund des Stands der Sonne noch ganz gut mitgehalten, je weiter das Jahr fortgeschritten ist, desto weniger kam die Anlage auf ähnliche Ergebnisse.
Meine Anlage, welche in der Theorie wirklich nicht schlecht steht, hat nach dem hier zu sehenden Stand also aktuell 302,68 kWh produziert, die des Nachbarn liegt bei 156,81 kWh.
Rechnen wir das mal mit grob 35ct (Euro) auf, kommen wir bei mir auf 105,94€ Ersparnis in diesem Zeitraum, beim Nachbarn immerhin noch auf 54,88€, welche er sich durch das Aufstellen der Anlage eingespart hat.

In case of my system, the electricity produced so far corresponds to 36.66% of the initial investment.
The neighbors system has at least managed to recover 18.99% of its investment so far. In any case, both are clearly better placed where they are than just leaving the equipment in its packaging while waiting for the roof to be finished.
And if anyone is wondering how I actually manage to use all that electricity, I can only point to servers, computers, laptops, routers, miners (*Solar Mining*^^), vacuum cleaners (2), a dishwasher, washing machine, electric water heating besides what so ever is consuming electricity duing the day. So it’s more about “covering costs,” but that doesn’t make it any less interesting - especially in Germany I can say so with absolute certainty. ^^
I know those systems may not be that interesting in other countries, but there are other systems for sure. If you got enough space and can get a good system for a cheap price, it is definitly worth giving this a deep thought - especially if you are handy enough to build the frame and stuff yourself. If not - placing pallets on the ground and putting it on top also works as you have seen. ;)^^
In Fall meines Systems, liegen wir mit dem produzierten Strom aus der Anlage somit aktuell bei 36.66% des Investments.
Das System des Nachbarn hat immerhin 18.99% des bisherigen Investments wieder erwirtschaftet. Beides ist jedenfalls deutlich besser, wie in der Kartonage auf die Fertigstellung des Daches zu warten.
Und sollte jetzt jemand fragen, wie ich es hin bekomme, den ganzen Strom auch tatsächlich zu nutzen, kann ich nur auf Server, Computer, Laptops, Router, Miner (*Solar Mining*^^), Staubsauger (2), Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, Warmwasserboiler und was weiß ich nicht was alles noch den Tag über läuft verweisen. Demnach auch eher "das decken von Kosten", wobei es sich deshalb nicht weniger lohnt - insbesondere auf Deutschland bezogen, kann ich das jedenfalls sicher sagen.^^ Meiner Meinung nach solltet ihr die Gelegenheit nutzen, sofern ihr den Platz dafür habt, insbesondere, wenn ihr handwerklich ein wenig begabt seid und euch ein Gestell usw. selbst bauen könnt. Andernfalls legts halt grad auf Paletten auf den Boden, geht auch, wie man sieht. ;)^^
