Good morning fellow gardeners and the ones hopefully to be 🙂! In this post I would like to present you a few snippets of my little garden-oasis on the terrace, which I let green up again last year ([2021](https://peakd.com/hive-138307/@schlees/so-much-green-on-such-little-space-so-viel-grun-auf-so-wenig-platz-ende)). Guten Morgen liebe Gärtner und jene, die es hoffentlich einmal werden 🙃! In diesem Beitrag würd ich euch gerne ein paar Ausschnitte meiner kleinen Garten-Oase auf der Terrasse präsentieren, welche ich im letzten Jahr erneut ergrünen ließ ([2021](https://peakd.com/hive-138307/@schlees/so-much-green-on-such-little-space-so-viel-grun-auf-so-wenig-platz-ende)). Einiges, wie z.B. die Petersilie auf der Fensterbank im Freien, hat sich bis heute gehalten. Es wurde wieder ordentlich gepflanzt, was zu täglicher Ernte diverser Sorten Tomaten, Gurken, Paprika, verschiedener Salate, Zucchini, Auberginen, diverser Kräuter und vielem mehr führte. Es gab keinerlei Komplikationen - im Gegenteil, es war sogar noch ertragreicher wie im Vorjahr, so das es nicht nötig war, irgendetwas Grünes käuflich zu erwerben. Gedüngt habe ich selbstverständlich wie im Vorjahr, da ich aus dieser Zeit noch einen halben Eimer "Käferkot" übrig hatte 😄.
The cucumbers were purchased pre-bred/grafted, as well as the eggplant and zucchini like some of the tomato plants - but a lot is already from my own seed collection, such as the "fire-beans", which were pre-bred this year in a small greenhouse and are in no way inferior to their ancestors in terms of yield.
 In case you're wondering - last year, besides taking care of the plants and eating the harvest, I unfortunately forgot to take pictures of the harvest 😏.

Die Gurken wurden vorgezogen/veredelt zugekauft, so auch die Aubergine und die Zucchini wie einige der Tomatenpflanzen - vieles stammt aber auch schon aus meiner eigenen Saatgutsammlung, wie z.B. die Feuerbohnen, welche dieses Jahr in einem kleinen Gewächshaus vorgezogen wurden und ihren Vorfahren vom Ertrag her in nichts nach stehen.
Falls ihr euch wundert - ich hab letztes Jahr neben dem Versorgen der Pflanzen und dem Verspeisen der Ernte leider das Fotografieren dieser vergessen 😅.

One plant, as mentioned in the report for last year, is particularly fascinating to me - the "African basil"!
Eine Pflanze hat es mir wie im Bericht für letztes Jahr schon erwähnt, aber besonders angetan - der "Afrikanische Basilikum"!
This year I have discreetly overdone it, although I have decided to expand the basil field for this year. The small flowers attract masses of different wild bees like other insects. Anyway, the seeds are ready to go and yeah, you can dry basil quite well, too (had 8 big jars^^).
Mit dem habe ich es dieses Jahr dezent übertrieben, wobei ich mir für dieses Jahr vorgenommen habe, das Basilikum-Feld noch zu erweitern, da die kleinen Blüten massenhaft verschiedener Wildbienen wie andere Insekten anziehen. Das Saatgut ist jedenfalls einsatzbereit und der Basilikum lässt sich ja auch wunderbar trocknen (hatte 8 große Einmachgläser^^).
There are simply very few plants which bloom for such a long time, where I can detect so many different species of wild bees in almost any kind of weather - which is why I have to advertise this basil again.
I also came across no one who didn't want to have one themselves 😄.
Es gibt einfach sehr wenig Pflanzen, die so lange blühen, bei denen ich bei fast jeder Art Wetter derart viele verschiedene Wildbienenarten feststellen kann - weshalb ich auch noch mal für diesen Basilikum werben muss.
Mir kam auch noch niemand unter, der nicht selbst einen haben wollte 😉.
2 of the plants were in pots and were saved with the rosemary in the hallway, because I did not want to lose them - currently the two basil plants are already blooming again, which together with the rosemary spreads a very pleasant flavor.
2 Der Pflanzen befanden sich in Töpfen und wurden mit dem Rosmarin in den Flur gerettet, da ich diese nicht verlieren wollte - aktuell blühen die beiden Basilikum-Pflanzen schon wieder, was mit dem Rosmarin zusammen einen sehr angenehmen Duft verbreitet.
Also flowers were to be found this year in various shapes on the terrace, which were also visited in large numbers by various bees/insects. Unfortunately, I have not focused much on taking pictures here either. In addition to snapdragons and carnations, sunflowers and various types of "wild-flowers", there were several other blooming beauties to admire on the terrace - some of them bloomed until late autumn/early winter (it was very mild for a long time).

Auch Blumen gab es in diesem Jahr in diversen Formen auf der Terrasse vorzufinden, welche ebenfalls zahlreich von diversen Bienen/Insekten besucht wurden. Leider hab ich mich auch hier nicht sonderlich auf das Bilder machen konzentriert. Neben Löwenmäulchen und Nelken bis hin zu Sonnenblumen und diversen Wildblumen gab es noch so einige blühende Schönheiten auf der Terrasse zu bewundern - teils blühten diese bis in den späten Herbst/frühen Winter hinein (es war lange ziemlich mild).
Natürlich hab ich mir auch hier Saatgut für dieses Jahr beiseite gelegt 😃.
In the [last post](https://peakd.com/hive-197995/@schlees/potato-challenge-2022) I mentioned that I would like to try what i did with the potatoes indoors on the windowsill, which, as I would say, is not doing badly so far. Whereby the light source (1 window) is indeed a slight limitation. I'll let you know about the outcome, but this method seems to work wonderfully even during winter in an unheated hallway.
Im [letzten Post](https://peakd.com/hive-197995/@schlees/potato-challenge-2022) hab ich ja erwähnt, dass ich das mit den Kartoffeln auch mal indoor am Fensterbrett versuchen möchte, welche sich, wie ich behaupten würde, nicht schlecht schlagen. Wobei die Lichtquelle (1 Fenster) schon eine Einschränkung ist. Ich werd euch über den Ausgang informieren, diese Methode scheint jedoch auch im Winter in einem unbeheizten Hausflur wunderbar zu funktionieren.
