Power can be intoxicating. Riches can change a persons attitude towards their friends or other people. It could make a kind and compassionate person change. We've probably heard of the saying - The true colors of a person shows when they are successful, when they have money and assets, when they hold a high position or when they feel bigger than other people. The successful one begins to treat the other one like they don't exists. Calls are left unanswered, ghosting becomes the order of the day, and the successful one begins to look down on the other one that's not yet successful, forgetting the fact that life happens, and table turns. "Sorry, I was very busy, sorry I didn't see your calls," becomes their normal excuse while in actual fact, they saw it, but then, they refuse to take the calls or even write back.
