Korea is a place where you can do almost anything wherever you are. Today was Matthew's first fishing trip. He randomly saw a video of someone fishing and he was hooked right away. He wanted to go fishing. I would have loved to take him to a real fishing trip, but I don't have the gear or the money to set up a real event.
First off we had to fuel up and get some breakfast!
He was initially hesitant since this was a new type of sandwich, but once he tasted it there were no breaks.
After breakfast, we were off! The indoor fishing place is pretty cool! They give you bait and a rod, you sit around and wait until you get something.
We were lucky, after about 5 minutes we got our first bite and it was a huge one!
He was so stoked!
Like most activities, he got bored quite easily, and since fishing is a waiting game. He got bored after a few minutes and decide to just chill out.
Then the friend came along! He thinks anyone who is his size or age is his best friend. (He is always bigger than anyone else, so this doesn't always play out as well as it should.) He saw a friend and went for it. Destiny in the making.
Once he saw what his friend caught, the friend decided to join us and sat down next to us. It was love at first sight.
His dad bought us some snacks and M was on it faster than white on rice, luckily he said thanks first.
After that, it was one catch after the other. We were on a roll! His friend caught one and then we did, back and forth for constant entertainment. We had a blast! So much that I forgot to take more photos. Overall, it was a great time and we will try it again!
