Hail to the Hive!

Well it has now been a whole year living afloat on little Badger the Narrowboat. It doesn’t seem like a few months ago that we were dreaming of being on the canals and still looking at all the different boats available at that time.

A year later and life afloat seems like a normal life to us now even though to others they think it a strange or adventurous way of living. I just think it’s a home that floats and moves and in my mind it’s a natural thing to do. People have done it for centuries. Maybe not the majority of people granted , but it has been going on for a very long time.

Whatever happens in the future I Will always be glad I did this and will continue to embrace and enjoy this different lifestyle for as long as it lasts. Life twists and turns and you never know what may be around the corner and I may find myself doing something very different again in the months or years to come. You never know.

But until then Badger is home and we are at home wherever we moor her.
