Hello, music lovers! ๐ต
On #threetunestuesday, I reflect on the music I listened to growing up and the music I had access to.
It's been quite some time since my last post, so it's only right that I chime in. I was encouraged by @thebighigg and @evileddy, especially since I woke up early and had a nightmare that I can only exorcise with strong coffee and fast, sharp, and rhythmic music.
The psychobilly genre itself is nothing special, rock 'n' roll, those incredible three chords played in every possible way, with scary horror elements, at a speed comparable to today's synthetic techno. But it was taken to the extreme decades ago when these bands roamed dive bars and underground clubs, shocking audiences with their appearance and wild parties. Most of the live recordings are therefore of poorer quality, more archival, I would say, but they have a kind of historical value.
Of course, this is open to debate. It's only a subjective view.

For those of you who are not (yet) familiar with #threetunetuesday or #ttt - these are tags you need to set when you post.
It's a music initiative started by @ablaze, and with his words, the jist is as follows:
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs that I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the reward.

Here, I will highlight a few bands from this genre; some have been inactive, while others are continuing their journey.
Meteors - Who Do You Love
The Meteors are an English trio from London. They have been playing since 1980, with 29 singles, 24 studio albums, and 15 live albums. They remain active, constantly on tour, and continue to surprise listeners with their energy. The song "Who Do You Love" is a 1992 single, a cover of a Bo Diddley song, featured on the album 'Demonopoly.' It is also on the live compilation Attack Of The Chainsaw Mutants.

The Cramps - Tear It Up
The Cramps are an American band from New York City, active from 1976 to 2009. They released eight albums, are known for their energetic performances and eccentric outbursts from the frontman, and play a blend of psychobilly and punk. 'Tear It Up' is from their first album, "Songs the Lord Taught Us," from 1980, and is otherwise a cover of a rockabilly song by Johnny Burnette from 1956.

Koffin Kats - The Way of the Road
The Koffin Kats is an American trio from Detroit, playing psychobilly, punk, horrorbilly, garage, and similar genres since 2003. They have recorded ten studio albums. The song The Way of the Road is from their seventh album, Our Way & The Highway, released in 2012. I had the opportunity to hear and record them at my local club. If anyone is interested.
