I'm getting closer and closer. One of these days, very soon, I'm actually going to check every item off the accountability list! For now, I'm very nearly there.
I went to sleep an hour alter than intended (1:30 a.m. instead of 12:30 a.m.). I'm certainly closer to my goal than on other days, however.
Yesterday's accountability list:
- Stay on my phone for <1 hour ✓
- Exercise ✓
- Stretch ✓
- Meditate ✓
- Draw or read an art history book ✓
- Get off the internet by 5:30 p.m. ✓
- Go to sleep by 12:30 a.m. X
- Watch a TV show or movie with my family ✓
Everything else went quite well. I ended up reading an art history book rather than drawing yesterday. For me personally, absorbing art and history simultaneously is quite stimulating in a most positive way. I'm currently in the very early portions of the book, and I do expect that it'll take a few years to actually read through the entire thing at my current pace. That's ok, however, because it's a truly thorough and excellent read, even if dense.
As for today, I was considering going to a local Halloween event. It's getting a bit late, so I have to decide rather son. It would be a fun social event, of which I truly have not had many in recent years. It's either this or relaxing at home and drawing.
In all honesty, I would probably have some regrets not going to this event, as one of my goals has been to simply get out more. I can always draw on a different day - the paper, pencil, and pen will remain here. Events, however, swiftly go away.
I suppose writing this out was significant enough for me to convince myself to just go and have some fun outside today. I'm not going to wrestle with whether or not I deserve it (I could spend literally days debating this), so instead of overthinking as I typically do, I'll just go and have some fun.

Happy Halloween, folks! Go out and scare the poor little children.
