This time the accountability list is going to be very positive...

  • Exercise
  • Stretch
  • Meditate
  • Walk outside ✓
  • Get off the internet by 4 p.m.
  • Draw or read about art ✓
  • Go to sleep by 1 a.m. ✓
  • Watch a TV show or movie with my family

Certainly not perfect by any means (and I was due for some rest from the exercise regardless), but I accomplished two major items that I seemed to delay for no clear reason: I went outside to walk for a while and I engaged in creative arts by drawing! Both on the same day.

So, my plan to get up early, be productive until 4 p.m., then go straight outside didn't go exactly as planned. I got up a bit later, wasn't as productive as I wanted (ended up wasting some time), and left outside at 6 p.m.

But you know what... it doesn't matter. Like life itself, the circumstances don't have to be perfect. The fact is, I made it. And it was wonderful.

I walked outside with a family member, exploring the neighborhood and going to a local pier. The only "negative" thought was that I can't afford most of the homes located there, but it wasn't something upsetting or anger-inducing. It simply was. I enjoyed looking around, then sitting at the pier and looking at the beautiful views of the city. It was a calming experience. Not a single moment of guilt, anxiety, or sadness. Nearly 2 hours of this!

Upon coming back home, I made time to draw for a couple of hours. I haven't done much of this recently, so it was quite nice. I improved upon a technique which I had failed to accomplish for years. I listened to some music while I drew.

The only screen time I had after 5 p.m. yesterday was to look for a reference drawing, then some television while I ate dinner.

The only thing which really put a bit of a damper on the evening was developing a sort of unusual headache which didn't want to go away. My family member also got sleepy earlier than usual, so we didn't watch the TV show that we typically watch, and I also ended up falling asleep rather quickly because the headache tired me out.

This type of headache comes with some fatigue, so I slept late today. But that's ok...

My productivity is better today than yesterday. Having a quality, restful evening is enough to give me a good dose of energy. Imagine that?
