Vada Pav This is the most popular street food of Mumbai but now it is available in every state but is served in different ways everywhere Somewhere it is eaten with green chillies, somewhere with green chilli pakodas, somewhere with sweet and sour chutney, somewhere with onions, somewhere with tomato sauce, everyone eats it in their favorite style
Ingredients:- A- Gram flour batter
1) Gram flour- 2 cups
2) Red chilli powder- 2 tsp
3) Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
4) Salt- 1/2 tsp
5) Oil- 2 tsp
6) Water- 2 cups
7) Rice flour- 2 tsp
Method-
Put gram flour in a bowl
Then add (salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder and rice flour)
by adding
by adding water little by little
Prepare the batter
Cover it and keep it for 1/2 hour, then add 2 tsp hot oil and mix it well
B - Put green chilli in the middle Cut it and fry it in hot oil.
Sprinkle salt on it.
Add lemon and mix.
C- Masala
1) Potato- 5 boiled, grated
2) Oil- 1/2 table spoon
3) Mustard seeds- 1/2 teaspoon
4) Cumin seeds- 1 teaspoon
5) Asafoetida- 1/4 teaspoon
6) Fennel seeds- 1 teaspoon
7) Ginger, green chilli, garlic paste - 2 teaspoons
8) Lemon juice- one teaspoon
9) Turmeric powder- 1/4 teaspoon
10) Salt- 1/2 teaspoon
11) Coriander powder- 2 teaspoons
12) Coriander leaves- finely chopped
Method:-
Heat oil in a pan and add (mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds and asafoetida) and let them crackle
Then add (green chilli, ginger and garlic paste) to it
Fry it well. Now add mashed potatoes and add salt, coriander powder and turmeric powder to it.
Fry for 2-3 minutes
Then turn off the gas and add lemon juice
and coriander leaves
Mix it after some time when the mixture cools down
Make small pedas from it
Now to make vadas, dip the pedas of the mixture in the prepared gram flour solution Dip
Wrap it well and put it in hot oil for deep frying
Fry the vadas till they turn golden on both sides
Fry them
Take them out on kitchen paper
So that the excess oil drains out
The vadas are ready
Now to make vada pav:-
1) Pav - Ready Made
Cut the pav with the help of a knife
But do not separate it completely
Apply butter on both sides of the pav
Green chutney on one side
And apply tomato sauce on the other side and place hot vada in the middle
Eat with fried green chillies
And feed
