When Nature's Give, All We Need to Do is to Notice it! Just like this Native Mushroom, A Small Miracle that Grows where no one planted it!

Greetings to all hive gardeners and farmers, most specially here @hivegarden. I'm back to share another nature experience that make me amazed and remind me that nature always find a way to surprise us! Let's go!

Every year here in the Philippines, when the thunder and lightning season begins that was around August to September, these native mushrooms start to appear or sprout like magic. They grow naturally in unexpected places like along the roadside, in grassy fields, and near the edges of the farm.

These native mushrooms grow only once a year, when they grow they appear in large clusters. Harvesting time is short and precious, because once they are picked, they won’t grow back until next year. But what I observe is that they will not sprout or grow in the same spot next year or next season. It’s as if nature decides where her gifts will appear next.

Since childhood I always witnessed this kind of magic that nature gives, but until now it still amazes me how they seem to know when it’s their time to rise or grow. The combination of thunder, rain, humidity, and warm soil creates the perfect moment for them to bloom. Their soft caps and earthy scent are a quiet reminder of how alive nature becomes during this season. The earthly scent also makes this native mushroom unique even though we cooked it for food, the scent was still there.

Until now, When I know it’s the season for them to sprout, I can’t help but feel excited. I start looking around everywhere, may it be along the road, in the garden, or in grassy areas. Whenever I spot something light brown and slightly rounded, I take a closer look right away. Because You can’t really tell from afar if it’s a mushroom or just part of the ground, so you have to get close to be sure.

This is one of my favorite dishes back home, especially when we visit my parents home. Nothing can compare to the rich aroma and delicious flavor of this native mushroom. Ever since we were young, it has always been my family's favorite. Whenever its season comes, me and my siblings eagerly look for it. The soup made from these mushrooms has a unique distinct taste, comforting, earthy, and unlike any other dish. It’s a flavor that reminds me of home, my siblings bond and simple joys shared with my family.

That's all about this native Mushroom that growing on our location and I'm not sure if this mushroom sprouts or growing also to your location. Just let me know by tapping in the comment.

Thank you so much for your continued support to my simple farm blog here on hive, this really means so much for me. Always remember to keep smiling and stay safe!
