One thing I hate about people not liking rap is when they say that it's too violent and without purpose. It's a painful thing for me because the rappers who actually rap about concerning issues aren't mainstream and those who are mainstream tend to dumb their lyrics down to maximize the views quantity instead of quality.
Yet there are still some hidden gems there... Some artists with songs that go against the wave in rap where it mustn't be violently inclined or fastly spoken. The truth is given clearly and audibly, just like it's meant to be.

Denver ~ Jack Harlow
Jackman from Jack Harlow has to be one of the most minimalistic and under appreciated real-life issues themed rap album ever. In this album Jack raps about everything he's experienced in the hip-hop world and in this song we see the growth he's had and the trials which led to that growth. I remember when it first came out and I—who was a huge fan of his back then—immediately streamed it and was hooked on it. Denver is the 6th song on the album and can be said to be the main song, it's probably one of the most relaxed depression songs that you'll listen to with the chill vocals beautiful lyrics and the guitar strumming tune. https://youtu.be/vq4hRDnGbDY?si=_hAzoAfBSwCAEGqE
175 Months ~ Dave
I was never a Dave fan. Yes, I wasn't. Still not a big fan of grime but some days I do come across a few lads from Brighton whose songs connect with me and Dave's new album has made a beautiful connection 😔✨
This is the 2nd song of the album and Dave raps about life and grief. Its something of confession and a conversation to God. On here Dave talks about his Christian life, his mother's influence on it and his fears of him neglecting it during times of fame and fortune. https://youtu.be/05stq5bU1vg?si=GC9Kl722g-zaubxc
Chapter 16 ~ Dave ft Kano
When we're talking of conversation raps this is at the very top for me. The song in itself is a conversation, Dave met Kano at a restaurant and they began to talk. Talk about their careers, their background and their relationships. Dave asking Kano for advice and talks about his life and the allure of it when he was a child. Kano giving this advice and talking about the dark bits of the "alluring life" and his appreciation for his admiration at the same time wondering if he did actually leave a difference.
It's just a beautiful collaboration between beautiful artists😭❤️🔥 https://youtu.be/t4MYju_XM3c?si=utStj1j1OnJqgEDP
These are my picks for #threetunestuesday, the Tuesday musical initiative started by @ablaze. It's pretty easy to join. Have 3 songs in mind, perform or write about em and tag "@ablaze" to the post. Use "#threetunestuesday or #ttt" as a tag in the post. And post to stand a chance at winning some pretty $HSBI.
Which song did you like best?
