Productivity and Kyoto mini photo dump

The past week I got a ton of stuff done, all thanks to rhe magic of checklists. I guess it’s because I am a child of the internet and video games, a dopamine addict by upbringing, to gamify is the only way I get anything done.

And so I made a long checklist of 20 items the first day, half creative, and half chores, especially things I could put off if I wanted to.

I gave myself two days to finish.

I ended up practicing EVERYTHING on guitar, writing lyrics to 3 new songs, working on a new melody, renewing my housing contract, learning almost 100 words, revieiwing another 100, updating my schedule and accounting, getting in touch with a few friends I had been meaning to get in touch with, doing a weeks worth of housework, and probably a bunch more I can’t remember.

I guess thats good right?

Then I wrote a post and my browser froze and I lost it. Then i tried to upload a video and it failed and I tried again and it failed and I gave up and now it’s two days later.

The only issue with my checklists is that it ends up being very difficult to switch modes. When I made music the absolute priority which took up most of the list, I focused on it. But then when I had other things I had to take care of, I completely forgot about music and it became anything but a priority. That’s not good.

I guess from now I’ll experiment making multiple checklist, and giving myself in order to complete them in. I won’t be able to work on other things until I complete two items on the music checklist, then I’ll have three or four items I can work on on the other list. After that more music

My original post is gonna be a little bit more fun than this with a big photo dump and an explanation of each photo, but I’m not going to write that again, I can share some of the photos though.
