We made the basic shape in blue. At this point, I felt that the boy was too far ahead, but I really liked how Xolobis looked, so I erased the shape of the man and redid it in the final sketch. With the sketch ready, I did the line art in black and also certain parts of the background.

Hacemos la forma básica en color azul, en este punto sentía que el chico estaba muy adelantado, pero me había gustado muchísimo como quedo xolobis asi que borre la forma del hombre y rehice en el boceto final. Con el boceto listo hice el lineart en color negro y tambien ciertas partes del fondo.

We added the base color, which was at our discretion. We didn't want to saturate the colors too much, as that is the job of the neon lights. The boy's clothing is basically a single layer, including the shoes.

Agregamos el color base, esto es a criterio propio, no quería saturar mucho los colores, pues ese es trabajo de las luces de neón. La ropa del chico básicamente es una sola capa incluyendo los zapatos

We added details, trying to imagine where the lights would be. I was inspired by one of the streets where I live, although of course the lights here are not like that. It took a while to experiment and have faith in the process, but once I added stronger, more solid tones, including the lights, it started to take the shape I wanted to achieve.

Agregamos detalles tratando de imaginar donde estarán las luces, me inspire en una de las calles por donde vivo, claro las de aqui no tienen este tipo de luces. fue un buen rato experimentando y teniendo mucha fe en el proceso, una vez agregue tonos mas fuertes y sólidos incluyendo las luces fue tomando la forma que quería lograr.

For the details of the ground, use a variety of brushes, including the chalk brush, and blend several times until you achieve the desired effect. It wasn't quite what I wanted to achieve, but I feel it's very close to my idea. The details in the characters follow a similar process, taking into account that some areas will reflect part of the colored lights. There are so many small details that I would lose myself mentioning them, as well as effects on some layers with luminosity, noise effects “only in the background.” But one that I will mention is the details on the lenses. I wanted it to be something like the scanners in Dragon Ball. I also thought about adding something like a light spot and motion effect, but I discarded that idea because I didn't know how to apply it well.

hay tantos detalles pequeños que me perdería mencionándolos, tambien efectos en algunas capas con luminosidad, efectos de ruido " solo en el fondo". pero uno que si mencionare son los detalles en los lentes, quería que fuera algo como los rastreadores de dragon ball. también pensé en hacerle algo como un manchón de luz y efecto de movimiento pero descarte esa idea al no saber como aplicarla bien.

Finally, we correct the colors, add our signature, and apply a light layer of light over the entire canvas. And we're done!
