Process/Proceso

I had had the idea for a long time, and I even thought about adding many more characters, but that would have taken more time, and I didn't think I could meet the deadline. When creating the sketch, I decided to change the design of the trophy. I should mention that I was designing it separately from the characters. The design I used was a large Z in reference to Zing and a V in crystal in the background in reference to Victoria. We created the line art, which took me some time, and for the trophy I used a different type of brush size. These straight lines are achieved by holding down the shift key. “Maybe you already knew that, but it's good to mention it.”

Tenia la idea desde hace mucho tiempo, incluso pensé en agregar a muchos mas personajes pero esto llevaría mas tiempo y no creía poder cumplir la fecha de entrega. Al crear el boceto decidí cambiar el diseño del trofeo, debo decir que este lo estaba diseñando aparte de los personajes. El diseño que use fue una Z grande en referencia a Zing y una V en cristal de fondo en referencia a Victoria. Creamos el lineart, esto me llevo algo de tiempo y para el trofeo use un tipo de medida diferente de pincel, estas lineas rectas se logran dejando presionada la tecla de mayúscula. " tal vez ya sabían eso pero es bueno mencionarlo"

We apply the gray base. There are parts where I need some contrast because the shades of gray are very similar, so I temporarily apply the color change effect to be able to distinguish them. We also apply the dedication to the “Zingtober 2025” trophy.

Aplicamos la base de grises, hay partes donde necesito algo de contraste ya que los tonos de gris se parecen mucho, por eso temporalmente aplique el efecto de cambiar el color, para poder distinguir. Tambien aplicamos la dedicatoria del trofeo "zingtober 2025"

For the background, I wanted to create stands filled with many people, but drawing so many people together was challenging for me. If I made them too detailed, it would take a long time, and the effect of distance would be lost. I tried different brushes and various tones until I achieved this result. I also added small sparkles as if people in the audience were taking photographs. I wanted the award ceremony to be something epic, filled with many people.

Para el fondo quería hacer unas gradas con muchísimas personas, pero dibujar tantas personas juntas representaba un reto para mi, si las hacia muy detalladas me llevaría mucho tiempo aparte que se pierde el efecto de lejanía, estuve intentando con diferentes pinceles y varios tonos hasta dar con este resultado, tambien agregue pequeños brillos como si tomaran fotografías desde el público. Que la entrega del premio sea algo épico lleno de muchas personas jeje.

I added some confetti, “in my country they call it papelillo,” and gave it a motion blur effect. I also added some lights from above, like the ones you find in stadiums. With the background ready, we could start working on the characters.

Agregue algo de confeti, "en mi país le dicen papelillo" y le di el efecto de desenfocar en movimiento, tambien agregue unas luces desde arriba como las que se encuentran en los estadio. con el fondo listo ya podíamos trabajar en los personajes.

The characters took time, from their clothes to their hair. Here I show the process as condensed as possible, but it really took me a long time. I wanted to experiment with the way I did the hair, using a dark base tone and lightening it with another brush that wasn't as strong to achieve that effect on the hair.

Los personajes llevaron su tiempo desde la ropa hasta su cabello, aqui muestro el proceso lo mas comprimido posible pero esto me llevo realmente mucho tiempo, quise experimentar con la forma en la que hice el cabello usando un tono base oscuro y aclarando con otro pincel no tan fuerte para lograr ese efecto en el cabello.

Ah, we've come to my favorite part. I tried to do the whole drawing very well, but I was really excited to work on the centerpiece of this piece, which is the trophy. I wanted to make the V in the background, or the V-shaped piece in the background, in a style that emulates glass, so I used a separate layer in gray and applied a multiply effect, if I remember correctly, and 80% transparency. Behind it, I lightly drew the hand of the person on the right. Now I could apply shine from the base of the trophy and a little darkness as well. After finishing the plaque, I gave the letters a slight relief and applied some texture with another brush. Now, for the Z, I couldn't use glass or I would lose the contrast, so I made something metallic that simulates steel blades. I did this in two stages, leaving the center of the Z for last.

Ah llegamos a mi parte favorita, en todo el dibujo traté de hacerlo muy bien, pero tenía mucha emoción en trabajar en la pieza central de esta obra que es el trofeo, La V de fondo o pieza en forma de V del fondo quise hacerla en un estilo que emule el cristal, para ello use una capa aparte en tono gris y aplique un efecto de multiplicar " si mal no recuerdo" y una transparencias al 80% detrás dibuje ligeramente la mano del persona de la derecha. ahora podía aplicar brillo desde la base del trofeo y un poquito de oscuridad tambien, despues de terminar la placa le di un ligero relieve a las letras y aplique algo de textura con otro pincel. Ahora para la Z no podía usar algo de cristal o perdería el contraste asi que hice algo de metal que simule cuchillas de acero, esto lo hice en dos etapas dejando el centro de la Z para el final.

For the Z filling, I wanted to do something similar to the Energy Vial and a Damascus steel design. When I finished, I added a little more confetti and a few more details. I took some time at this point to review and look at the image before considering it finished.

Para el relleno de la Z quise hacer algo parecido al Vial de energía y a un diseño en acero damasco, al terminar agregué un poco mas de confeti y un poco mas de detalles. me tome un tiempo en este punto para revisar y mirar la imagen antes de darla por terminada.

Trophy idea discarded

This was a discarded idea I had at the beginning of the month when I was coordinating everything I would do for the Zingtober event. When the day arrived, I wanted to do something much bigger, so I discarded this idea... I like it, but I liked the new one much more, haha. I thought it would be interesting to show you this.

Esta fue una idea descartada que hice a inicios de mes cuando coordinaba todo lo que haría para el evento de zingtober, al llegar el dia quise hacer algo mucho mas grande por lo que descarte esta idea... me gusta pero la nueva me gusto mucho mas jeje pensé que sería interesante mostrarles esto.

Day 24- Rowdy

I dedicate this drawing to all drummers. As a guitarist, I know how frustrating it can be to try to tune your instrument while your drummer friend is playing and you can't hear your own instrument, so... I say: “3 cheers to our drummer friends.”
